SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 480 NITRO 8GB

I saw people on Reddit saying this card was "ugly" and "looks like a shower head". I mean, it looks like a graphics card to me? Doesn't need to look pretty if its going to sit inside a windowless case for the rest of its life, wedged in between a desk. Can't please some people though.

 

I saw the post about the MSI Lightning RX 480... What a awesome card. I think that will be the one I get.

 

Update: MSI has reached out to us, saying that this is "fake without any doubt". The full statement from MSI: "This stuff is way too retro for any new product...I can guarantee you this is fake without any doubt, There is no need to be too serious about it ".

anyway if i would put one in my case it would be water cooled (and right now it couldn't be something exept NVidia QUADRO.)

 

Sapphires reference one with the backplate is sexy.
Thats what I will be getting.

The dual fan nitro is kinda ugly, but if you were to paint the shroud black, it would look good IMHO.

Agreed. Even if it looks like $hit, it's gonna be seated inside a case.

What's more important is performance, not looks!

 

I care more about the power connector and the number of PCB layers than the looks, to be frank.

I'd agree with you but some people have cases with windows and they want a card with a bit of bling so it's apples an oranges, but I don't think it looks like a shower head lol
