Founders Edition: 536 Euro / $600 Custom Boards: Asus Strix, 570 Euro / $650 Gigabyte G1, 536 Euro / $600 MSI Gaming X, 560 Euro / $630 Cheapest one is a Palit JetStream 500 Euro / $550 Did they actually lie about the MSRP in the presentation?
MSRP only applies to the leading world super power. It's best not to ever look at their hardware prices, gas prices and so on.
MSRP = Manufacturers suggested retail price. If supply is low, retailers can take advantage of that and gouge customers.
Keep in mind American prices usually have no sales tax added to them while we have a whopping 25%. Socialism doesn't come free
Synes ikke prisene var så gale i forhold til andre land. Husk vi har 25% moms I think the price was ok compared to other countries. We got 25% vat
Here in Canada our dollar is low against the American dollar so ours is 30% higher then 12% tax on that. It's all relative.
We pay for sales tax in most states, the least is around 6% here in KY. It can go up to 12 to 13% in some states.
Hmm you're right. Looks like things have changed since I lived in New York, I never paid sale tax for anything I bought online
Even with 25% VAT that's not even close. Did anyone actually believe there'd be a reasonable price once they'd hit shelves? Hell no, especially not from nVidia. I doubt companies are getting them anywhere near the price they'd want them at to sell at the supposed MSRP.
Places like Amazon only recently with in the past 2-3 years they started to charge sales tax on items except gift cards and that was Items sold by Amazon not an Amazon Market Seller.
Found one for 480 euro, but it has a estimated delivery at 10+ days. They better be in stock in 3 weeks, then i'll have no problem buying one. I can pay about 525 euro for a new GPU.
That's what i thought, but 1070 is more future proof@drivers. Look at 700 series how that turned out, i had a 780 though but didn't notice the downgrade they been talking about. Still i find 450 too much for a 980 Ti, people are too greedy. I did saw a 980 Ti go for 250 euro, yes you read that right.
