Seems like Ubi is learning. It's a CINEMATIC trailer. A years ago this would have been a gameplay trailer.
Luckily they showed off actual gameplay yesterday. Aint no downgrade coming this time around. Graphics are already kinda low.

Even if it's twice as good as the original and sells for €1. I'll pass.

Is that enough time to nerf the graphics?

As we know from past Ubi$hit performances yesterday "real" gameplay and release November 15th gameplay will share a little more than the game name.

Based on that this is my personal preview of the next months game "optimizations" for PC version ...

Time to be let down again. Made the mistake of pre-ordering Watch Dogs 1, won't make the same mistake again. Been burned too many times by Ubisoft (lol Rainbow Six Siege)

Summary of the story in Watch Dogs 2:
Attempt to steal $5 from yakuza and fail during a hack of known yakuza owned bank/hotel/whatever.
    Have relative killed.
Investigate everything but the yakuza while doing absurd things like killing random gangs, dismantling their advanced computer networks, and stuff.
Follow long winding and ridiculous path that leads to the yakuza after every other criminal element in town is dead and only investigate them because everyone else is dead.
Get told by yakuza boss that trying to steal from them was a mistake.
OH MY GOSH IT WAS THE YAKUZA BEHIND IT ALL!!!!

We'll only have to wait a few months after the planned release date to get this great experience with a heaping helping of bugs and memory issues :nerd:.

I'm surprised they're doing a second game after the mess that was the first.

    Here comes the downgrades..
I recommend not pre-ordering stuff from ubi anymore until you see a review of the game.

It's people like you why these games turn out like crap. When you pre-order a game because of a trailer or just simply the name, you're telling the developers that what they've already done is good enough and that you're willing to pay for a product regardless of it's level of completion or refinement. This is why the Assassins Creed series is mediocre yet won't die.

Ubisoft isn't a small or struggling independent company. They don't need immediate funding to keep this going. Pre-ordering games from such companies encourages them to be lazy. Not only that, but you're probably not going to get a physical copy.

Besides, what do you get out pre-ordering? A couple days worth of early access? What difference does that make, when you will inevitably need day-zero patches anyway?

I got a good laugh out of that .

I like the give companies the benefit of the doubt until they do something horribly wrong. If there were retail DRM free/very lite releases I'd probably preorder some games. Ubisoft has been screwing things up for a while now and it's a wonder why people buy their games at all, let alone preorder.

Agreed. In some cases, a pre-order is acceptable. Usually for companies as big as Ubisoft or EA though, it's never worth it. That's why I brought up independent developers, because they actually do need the money and they see the preorders as motivation rather than say "well, looks like we already did what the people wanted! Let's release this as-is!"
