That is not the kind of news I was hoping for btw sending an email out to support let's see if they have an answer of the shipping date Update they are still vage on the shipping date now they say one to two weeks I hate that kind of doing bussiness but cant do nothing about it I guess now worries just wait and wait haha :infinity:
Afaik he's under water Although impressive nonetheless. Back to SLI? Hilberts early 1080SLI preview didn't scare you off?
Reference vs aftermarket about 10 to 15 celsius difference in temp. And they generate less heat then the gtx 980ti.
I did get an response of EVGA support about shipping of the GTX 1080 FTW they said this : Hello, thank you for your message. The pre-ordered FTWs should be shipped out in the next 1-2 weeks. I am sorry that I am not able to give you an exact date.
Game stable 1555-1565MHz and benchmark stable 1575MHz(1580-1585MHz lowers score). Temps never brake 55-58'C now that is hot here and 45-50'C in the Winter. Although I have fan speed always when gaming between 70-90%. 70% for max PL/TL(stock 1.199v) and 85-90% when maxed out@1.243v. So I cannot provide any auto fan speed results since I do not use it for when gaming. But fan @70% with over 1500-1530+MHz/Mem 7800Mhz PT/TL maxed out, it doesn't go above 45-50'C usually and 55-58'C now that ambient temps are higher. Nuh Nether. Just pure O2. I was waiting for Pascal to see if I would put this baby under H2O since I was planning on keeping this gpu for some time but I'm not going it seems.
Man.... That is some insane ****. 50c on air ? Really ? 70% fan ? Let me ask you a question, where in your igloo do you keep your PC ?
45-50'C but hey it was cold. Can't remember room temps but it was cold nonetheless. I will provide proof for both scenarios mentioned when my Skylake build is finished since I'm using my notebook for now.
Uh still not getting it.. His card surely is using an AIO water cooler unless like you said, outside in Alaska or something lol
lol! We got some comedians in da house! I said I'm using high fan speeds! Eat your words! Found one in the 980Ti thread! 44-49'C@85%. Even better! Ha! http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5233956&postcount=1893
Its not that bad actually. Don't hear when gaming over either with headphones or especially on my HT. At all. And that's 85%@1.243v. Stock volts@65-70% RPM's are a lot lower(custom fan curve in vbios).
I just tested mine 75% and its a bit loud @ 2100rpm, But now I saw it didnt throttle like usually ~ 65C mark Its 26C in room and max was 60-61C in Valley, so that up to 58C in games looks about right at those kind of fan speeds and "summer" time :nerd: Although my card is not so good... well maybe it would be better with 1.243v, but at 1.230v Im capped at ~ 1485mhz
Still very impressive. I can't run clocks that high but I can do 1490/8000 @ 1.218v I'll run AotS at 85% and report back. Weather forecast says 27c here today, just brought my mercury thermometer into my room from the balcony, I'll give it some time to adjust and report ambient
Galax GeForce GTX 1080 HOF hits 2.2GHz on air, 2.5GHz on LN2 http://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/93512-galax-geforce-gtx-1080-hof-hits-22ghz-air-25ghz-ln2/
