I got my ass kicked by every boss lol

Always thought that was gonna be it, stuck and never complete, but I would turn it off for a day, go back to it and beat them quickly the next time I tried

The final boss was stupidly difficult for me, I had completely given up, was gonna god mode his butt, then yesterday I was testing out that new fast sync thing, and used DOOM as a test, next thing I knew I had him down to 50% health and I was still at full with loads of ammo, beat him really easily in the end, probably because I wasn't trying lol

I'd play on Ultra Nightmare with no cheats if we had that from the start

 

Grenades are on timer and there is a skill to reduce the timer. Maybe there is one to increase the number of charges to two?

Remember that shotguns spread a lot so if you're fairly far away and can circle around, then you should be good.

 

lol i'm facing that last boss now aswell. I'm sure my hair will turn grey before i'm done. :chainsaw2: But i think the fight right before was pretty hard too, and was pretty happy when i got through that part, only to face something worse. lmao

 

lol yea, if the game wasn't so much fun and good looking, I'd probably have uninstalled it before completing it, I get impatient when they get too difficult, it stops being fun for me

Pleased I persevered with DOOM though, good to say I finished it genuinely, even if I did have to drop the difficulty down to lowest 3/4 to the end, most of it was done on Hurt me plenty

 

Only boss I thought was really challenging was the final one.

The first boss, easy as hell first time. Then, during the second wave of that fight... a bit harder. But... not too challenging.

The second boss was... tedious. Wasn't difficult, and both waves of that fight were pretty simple.

The final boss... was a good challenge. Which, it should have been.
I was glad to see it being a one level boss. No second part after taking it down once. But, I was glad to see it really made you work for it.
Think I died four or so times before taking it out.

 

yeah im on that diffculy aswell, it's pretty challenging and i get really ovewhelmend sometimes with how many monsters are fighting me, with all these floating heads XD

 

I'm playing ultra violence, I just got back to Mars from hell. Holy **** it's hard.

 

368.22 drivers out. Reportedly FPS increases in the teens. Gonna try when I get home.

Well I'm talking about up close and personal, firing only after I can see the pores on their skin...

I'm different in that regard, I'm a stubborn tenacious bastard that will keep going till... it dies.

 

I'm playing on UltraViolence as well.. I'm at Argent Tower at this point and so far I've done pretty well even though some moments have been challenging, but not too bad. Maybe would die once or twice but then move on.

However, now that I've reached the top of the Argent Tower, sheesh.. died like 5 times in a row. Gets real tough when there are so many enemies coming at you.. the game really doesn't hold back!

 

Yeah it's unrelenting, my biggest problem are the hell-knights, they're fast and honestly I **** myself and panic when they're behind me and I'm running away.

I use the stun bomb then gauss rifle on Mancubuses, HellKnights and Baron's of Hell

 

Bah, game just crashed near the end of the big argent tower fight. Only had a couple enemies left

 

Ugh, that's annoying.. I am fortunate to have not had a single crash yet.

 

Lol. I dont see how people can even be remotely scared of this game.

Its about as scary as mario cart.

Nothing like Doom 3 in the least.

I haven't had a single instance that made my heartbeat rise or cause me to jump

 

Nothing like Doom 3 is kind of the point. It's going back to the original games. Fast paced, almost arena style gameplay. Doom 3 was good but I enjoyed this Doom much more. Each to their own.

 

Aw that sucks.

I haven't actually experienced a single crash yet. W10 x64 with three different driver sets (the three latest ones) tried.

No stutters, crashes, nothing. Just pure fun!

Just got to Hell, that sanctum-something level I think. Oh boyos!
