I dunno why but when I install this driver, my screen's scaling is all FUBAR'd. When I go back to a previous driver it fixes itself. But when I installed the new one again, my scaling is all screwy again and changing options in Windows does nothing. Its cool, its only a spare PC and I can just skip over this release and wait for the next one. I don't mind. And I don't know if its just me who will/is having issues or not, so don't take my above post like it is going to happen to other people too.
Not such problem for me... Nor anybody else in the forum here. Except you. Try DDU and install again.
I don't know about scaling, but people have been reporting problems with screen flickering and graphical glitches on the 390/290 series of cards. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/4kphsn/radeon_1653_driver/d3gzkle AMD has acknowledged it. Could possibly be caused by the same issue.
They definitely changed something about default scaling. I had problems with default scaling on lots of the last drivers (it was fixable by manually resetting the Windows scaling values back to 100%). This driver is the first in a long time where the scaling is 100% by default for my laptop with 7970Ms and I don't have to reset it manually after installation, which is good. It's too bad there has been an adverse effect for others, though.
I can confirm the scaling issue because i am facing it as well. Always use DDU to install new driver, no luck. Though i can fix the issue from scaling options of radeon settings. For me this happens with 15.5.2 and later versions. 15.5.1 is perfect. Right now i am using sapphire 390x
these drivers are pushing my brothers temp up to 95c@100fan in world of tanks lol be for the update was only at 77-80c @70% fan
Had to turn off my other monitor because of the flickering with these. First time I actually encounter an issue that bothers me
