I did a huge history paper on WW1 some years ago . Most of the ground fighting is with in 300 yards . So close combat is what we should see in BF1 . You have to remember that things back them were not well made . Guns jammed a lot and the planes were wood and cloth . Artillery wasn't very accurate either . I thought about what was said about the battleships at the conference . A battleship was a bomb in its self . If a bomb or artillery shell hit the boiler, it most likely would devastate the ship . The aircraft were so vulnerable back then, a infantryman could shoot one of these things down with a rifle . Two weapons that were a huge success was the mortar and the flamethrower . I think Dice will make the battle more interesting will the help of gadgets that might not have been in wide use of the time period .
I'm bloody tempted, http://www.g2play.net/product/136191/battlefield-5-pre-order-origin-cd-key-1434367669-14/ I ordered it
Activision's Reaction To The Battlefield 1 Reveal Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fohNO3_1rU
When it was first put up on G2P yesterday ,it was €2 cheaper afaik . Grab it before it goes up anymore in price...I did
What's sad though, that despite all this, COD will likely sell way more than BF (as always) even if it's clearly the inferior game...
Lol its funny how quickly ppl forget what disaster BF4's release was with all the network lags & lame rubberbanding problems. But yeah sure, let's all cross fingers & preorder yet again xD
ordered myself from kinguin for £28.66 with buyer protection . Heres a 5% discount code to for kinguin TOP7COM working up to may 31
Seriously man get a brain! You do know what a pre-order is? It's something you can cancel.... Sheesh there's always one. p.s and another hint, you think he's basing it on this trailer or perhaps has played some battlefields before? Short of some serious engine problems/design choices yes he "might" cancel his pre-order but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet and I am not a betting man
I have been a fan of BF for 11yrs now. Here's one for the oldies, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGqy-1cfqeI&list=PLACE8F711FE984057 Although...iirc John was a 1942 man
To be honest guys, I really, really think this trailer is awesome, reminds me of the fantasy scenes in Sucker Punch with WWI steampunk something. But... ... as much as I'd love to be all antsy in my pantsy for it, I can't. I simply can't see myself being offered the same 'gameplay' and 'mechanics' as BF3 / BF4 brought us. Maybe I need to watch the trailer again or something, but I'm not sold... and that actually makes me really, really sad. edit: I am really sad.
Dont be sad , for the low price of 28.66 it's gotta be worth a go for sure , however if i was to pay the full price thats a different thing , i mean 64.99 uk pounds for the deluxe version ,,,come on EA wtf,,, i can buy a graphics card for that price , thats just silly money as far as im concerned , even 49.99 for the standard version is still too much in my opinion . thank the gods for kinguin and cdkeys.com ....
Erm, if games would be as good as their trailer, we would have a massive amount of top notch games, in general speaking. I pre-ordered BF3 at the time, sure enough played plenty of hours with it. But I wont pre-order again, better to wait for the full product and beta reviews. BF has a history of poor netcode and lots of bugs after launch, not to mention the balancing tricks, which turns your game upside down after every patch.
I think its quite relative, if you pay £64 and play over 700 hours like i did with BF4, thats well worth it. But if you pay that and dont like it at all, its a different story then
