Forza Motorsport 6 Apex for Windows 10

Finally first game to support my xbox one controllers trigger vibration in windows :banana:

 

Yeah cockpit camera looks the most immersive and Im usually not a fan of that view..

It has big enough FOV and even changes gfx a bit - less bland.

 

Feels a bit strange with keyboard... can't get cars to drift yet.
Runs and looks great.
I manage to run very smoothly with my old GTX 670 on ultra settings, 2xMSAA, alone (No other cars).

 

What if i just clicked save?

 

i find some of the car screens are so small i cant see **** all, especially the GT cars

 

Anyway to add this game as a non-steam game shortcut? I want it to appear in big picture mode.

am I being naive or is the intention to play via cockpit

 

They will just show in the game where you can view your stats, saved replays and photos. I think the Sharing allows the photos to be downloaded to a PC via the Xbox app; at least that is how I have downloaded screenshots taken from Xbox One games onto my PC.

 

It's the most realistic and immersive view to play from IMO though having played it earlier on I still prefer Project CARS helmet cam.

 

I tried it, nice to have forza on PC but... feels too arcade for me. The handling model feels like stability control is always on. (I do have assists turned all the way off)

Fov is a bit high in car view, haven't tried playing with it yet.

Car's don't go crazy when you use improper steering input.

Have yet to try it with my wheel.


edit, just found out wheels are not supported.
This is ridiculous! Shouldn't that have been a major feature for the PC release?

However, I am surprised how generous they were with the content of the beta. It seems like most of the game is here besides the limited track selection.

Yeap, in campain i only use cock pit view, but online play and messing about i use the behind car view, just to keep a eye out for nasty buggers who try to use your car as a braking system on corners. ha

 

So I used to love Gran Turismo 1/2 on the playstation but I stopped buying consoles many years ago. I have never found a racing game since that hooked me like GT did. I've only played a few races but Forza seems to scratch that itch.

To anyone who played the Gran Turismo series would you say Forza is comparable in scope? (full game, not the beta)

 

I must say that I quite like this. I think the drive model is quite good too.

For some reason DxTory doesn't hook this for some reason. Any idea why?

Funny though cpu usage on AMD FX is the same if there is a nv gpu, 2 cores hammered..


Looks like NV dx12 multi threaded part has some scaling issues and needs fixing
