Overwatch, Blizzards team based shooter thread

Yeah, did all of that still no invite. Played on my friend's account since he's flagged for closed beta anyway, game seems to be fine.
It's always fun to play, but the motivation is severly damaged by months of not being able to do so due to no invites.

 

Frankie did some good gameplay..

 

Well not bad, have seen better though (he has an ulti fail after all with Zeni)
But yeah, he knows how to play Hanzo

It's a game I really wanted to try and being a loyal Blizzard fan for a decade (and spending a significant amount of money on HOTS), I am kinda pissed they never sent me an invite

Turns out there is a open beta for everyone on 4th to 9th? That's good.... I'll finally get a chance to try it but... still... if anyone has an extra key and they don't have any friends that need one, I'll take it and we can play together

 

Afaik, it's 3rd and 4th for preorder, and 5th to 9th for everybody. Might be wrong though, somehow I've got the weird impression somebody meant it starts on Monday (today, 2nd).

 

If you didn't pre-order the game by April 29th, you wont be able to join the early access today. You'll have to wait until the 4th.

EUROPE
preorder 3rd - 4th, open beta 5th - 9th


Is that correct? I thought it would be 3rd - 9th EVERYWHERE, the way I wrote it down above would mean the Americas would get an extra day of beta, besides of course having the best timed release (talking about day time of unlock).

 

Ended up buying a key on ebay for £4. I've been waiting to play this for a while!

I'm in and the game is awesome. One question though. Does the SMAA Ultra in this cause blur?

Anyways, so glad I bought my ROG Swift 279Q before this released.

 

Somebody's mad. I sure hope it's like those games because I've put many, many hours into both.

 

Oh, interesting, they screwed over people outside of the US now? I couldn't play yesterday...

One thing I have to say, Blizzard has the most sh*tty timing politics when it comes to hours of anything. They're basically saying 'f*ck you' to everybody outside of the Americas.

Just checked, never before did I see May 2nd anywhere before. My friend that has been in the closed beta also has not seen or read anything about that either.

 

It was stated anywhere you could preorder it.

 

I swear to you there never has been a word about the 2nd I've come across, and I've preordered as soon as it was possible. And like I said, I asked my friend, he hasn't seen it either.

 

Both Amazon and Battle.net stated that preorders got early access. But maybe it's different for Europe.

Having to see the same **** every time is like a slap in the face, it's not like they couldn't let things launch simultaneously, or at least give Europe an extra day if they are not allowed to game at the same day as the Americas.

Hah upon further research it turns out the game unlocks at the same exact time for EU as it does for NA. So you're just being daft.
