I've been using my Corsairs Obsidian 900D case for years now and I love it (it fits all my water-cooling equipment perfectly and still looks stock). With that said this new Phantek EVOLV ATX Tempered Glass Edition case is the first one in years that has really caught my attention and made me think of an upgrade. I think its beautiful and simple in design whilst still being able to handle all my hardware. It would be great to see a review on this case Hilbert, lol!
I wonder about the cooling in some of these fantastic looking cases. The INWIN tempered glass cases are pretty terrible performance-wise. These glass cases sure are stunners though! :nerd:
I recently bought a Phanteks Enthoo Pro in black which i have lightly modded https://scontent.fman1-1.fna.fbcdn....=780a8c43631a06e5af6fd259e70968d1&oe=579CD567 https://scontent.fman1-1.fna.fbcdn....=d88d1d400fed6ad88568d9f2cc237dc5&oe=57BE7467 and build quality is excellent, i have also had the Pro M which felt cheaply made and the original Evolve itx which was the best build quality out of the lot and this new one looks the same as the evolve, if this had been out before my last purchase i would definitely gone for this and i think the price is spot on if it is as good as the Evolve itx.
I too have the 900D this Phantek looks nice but comes nowhere near close enough to replace it. I have my FuryX's hooked to the front fan's in an push pull configuration. With my dual fan control for my 15 fans taking up the front slots the Phantek wouldn't be able to handle it. Think the Corsair will be housing my setup for years to come.
I built Mom a new HTPC last week using my first cube style case. It has two tinted glass windows. During cable management, there was this eerie feeling of someone watching over my shoulder... I knew every angle of this build could be seen. There would be no hiding stuff in the back closet or under a rug. I've never spent so much time zipping wires, especially on a build no one will even be looking at (she's 68). :nerd:
I concur it looks gorgeous. For £150 I think it's excellent value. At first I thought it would of been more expensive...
