That may be, but the average user isnt going to screw around with that when they can just fire up raptr with playstv built in and they are off and streaming...

Comparing free vs paid software though. Not everyone records that often to justify the $39...

firing up bandicam is less effort than making a playstv account and firing up raptr.

and after having made a playstv account bandicam is exactly the same effort as firing up raptr.

not a matter of firing up something. i click on bandicam and its up. its a leightweight program. with a memory footprint of 20-25 MB its even lighter than raptr (~30MB).

so the difference in effort or system ressource is not the factor.
it's just a matter if you want 0 impact on your GPU or not.
and if you want a lossless video after recording or not.

you can freely use bandicam with ALL options available for as long as you like (no 30 day restriction or sth)
the restriction is 10 min per video, which is totally fine for the most youtube videos. or you just edit videos together...
and you get a watermark. but you can edit that out aswell in post edit process...
so its not like its only payware.

10 minutes of lossless video is 120 GB anyway... so ... exactly for that the free version is just perfect.

You are so wrong, again. Since very long time i haven't seen such misinformative troll like you.

There is no need to register raptr account nor plays.tv one to being able to record with plays.tv. With both programs accounts are very much optional, non-registered versions are fully functional.

    P.S.
I just reported you for your stupidity.

Good you dont have to make an account then.
That doesnt change every other thing i stated.
Same effort between Bandi and Raptr.
    Different result.

Insulting will help a lot with that.

Tested only Nautica (early release, DX11).

3 runs. Same result as 16.4.1.
    Identical 80+ms freezes :(

You dont need Raptr (aka AMD GAMING EVOLVED)
Just go to PlaysTV website, donwload it, (no register need / nothing)
You fix your settings and you ready to go.
    Thats my way...and its good!

So playstv does yuv-12 raw-to-disc without using GPU then? That's new to me.

Because (before some random dude decided to start flaming) my initial post's only point was to inform about Bandicam as a solution who does that for people who may prefer lossless/0-impact over encoding on-the-fly.

Raptr is using the GPU (i think) but there is no perfomance hit.
And the files are pretty small.

I know. And Bandicam isnt using the CPU or the GPU for encoding (in YV12).
And the files are pretty big.

Raptr oh my! Bandicam oh no!

Pfft. ;) Check out: Open Broadcaster Software for a mature and free, as in freedom - not beer, solution. :)

again, the average user doesnt give a damn about lossless YV12.

They just want to stream their stupid games...

Thats true, I just threw it in for people who maybe interested but don't know yet.
And I don't work for Bandicam :nerd:
Another alternative to Bandicam is DXtory who has the same lossless option.

Understand my posts as an offer, not a criticism of individual choices.

Are you fighting about streaming software? I say, OBS is the Best.

Sigh...here we are, 5 months later and CFX still doesnt work in Fallout 4 on my 290xs. Way to go AMD (or Nvidia/Bethesda, whoever's fault it is).

Yes fighting... just look at the development of the posts... o_O

My comparative mentioning of bandicams lossless 0-impact recording feature (including its disadvantage) as alternative to encoding on-the-fly methods seems to have led to one person deducing I would in any way criticize other recording methods.

What matters is, that software works. And user is happy with it.

    Wow, nice...

I was reminded of one of my favorite quotes from Revenge of the Nerds:

Stan Gable: What are you looking at, nerd?

Booger: [to himself] I thought I was looking at my mother's old douche-bag, but that's in Ohio.
