Lurking here since 2003, or it was 2004, not sure, while I was still struggling with awful 56K (in most cases between 33.6K and 40somethingK) Dial-up internet connection or local very unstable 128Kbps WiFi, visiting G3D mostly for reading HW ans SW articles. I know exactly when and what was my first download from G3D: ATI Tray Tools v.1.3.6.1042 back in May 2007, still keeping the original ATT *.exe, downloaded_from_www.guru3d.com.nfo file and whole G3D article about ATT and G3D dl page both saved via Internet Explorer in *.mht format Member since 2013, dunno why I didn't registered earlier, guess I didn't had anything smart to say/comment backthen, not that I have some smart to say now lol
As with any forum, members come and go. Had a look back into past posts/threads since I joined (5/2004). You can easily tell who's gone just by looking at their hardware. Anyone with socket 939 still in their sig is no longer here.
I joined May 2010, but I lurked on the forums for 2-3 years prior to that. I'm guessing I started reading reviews on Guru3d winter of 2005-2006 when I first started to really get into working on PC hardware on my own.
I was so overjoyed when I got mine. I never had temp issues because my AMD 4200+ bottlenecked enough to where the card never ran full blast Still got pretty damn good performance overall though. Thar rig went way further than it should have...
I joined sometime in 2010. But I was lurking here for a very long time before that. Time sure has flown by.
I was still on AGP hardware and Athlon XP cpu way back then if i remember correctly, and some damn funky coolers as well, found one not so long ago that was the same shape and size as a toilet paper tube, how was that keeping anything cool. lol
Banned.... I found this site when i was looking for a review on the Aopen geforce ti4200 (2002) kept lurking here like forever until i think 2012 when i joined.
Actually I miss the Pill Monster as well. I've been a member for 11 years now and I was 39 when I joined, I'll be 51 in June
