On the actual note though: If the rumors for the PS4.5 are true, and it has 2500+ shader processors with GCN4, I'm still keeping my old relic. I have found that a good strategy is to have at least console x2 shader processors. Unless Pascal is a monster, I will probably go big Vega. I'm not buying anything with the same GPU as a freakin' console.

Anyway denial, as for feature sizes glofo has an advantage, but afaik tsmc can do smaller sram, it's quite a long long list of features you can size up.

If you look at the s7 the tsmc chips are more energy efficient

This is all intended to make 4k playable in PS4 you won't be seeing great advances in shading

 

Funny thing is that if the rumors are true, the people with 980Tis and Furies, are going to be completely fine with this. Hell, I'll keep playing PS4/Xbone games at similar settings +50% fps, or at much better settings at 30.

 

So, when will we learn more about our 10 times better GPU thanks to 5 miracles? lol...

The hard truth is that until Computex/June, we will have no idea. It was also cute about that fake Vega details, where although Polaris 10 is faster than 11, Vegas not only uses the same nomenclature, but the ****ing idiot who faked the slide made the 11 to be the big card, not even managing keeping fake leaks consistent.
