    2 main factor:

-most game are designed for easy portage on and from console or phone device. to reduce the cost.

-dev are way less smart than before (and less paid too, wich goes by pair) but the game are lot more complex (despite engine may make it more simple on another hand).

    Not going back to 16.3.

16.3.2 gave me my first BSOD in ages.
Whatever that was I'm hoping it was just a fluke, and it does not happen with 16.4.1.

That's great news! :). I've been having DX12 "stuttering" issues in Ashes for the past few weeks. Hoping its all good now, will try later.

So, they finally acknowledge that "some" games cannot disable Crossfire via Radeon Settings (a.k.a. game profiles). Let's see how long it will take them to fix it now.

Man they are pumping these out quick. I'll wait to see some benchmark results. If they are the same as 16.3.2, I won't bother.

I had to reset my memory timings to defaults, because apparently Corsair memory is literally sold with the exact timings you can put on it. Still, with this driver I got the same scores (and some even a tiny bit better, like the 2nd Firestrike test), as I got with 16.3.2 with the tight RAM timings. This is impressive.

I own a Sapphire R9 380 4GB Nitro. How are we supposed to know if we are affected? I did run Speccy on an external monitor and my temperature hovered in the low 60 degrees Celsius while playing Fallout 4 so I would assume my fans are operating normally?

Without any actual facts stated why, this is just pure opinion.

    Downloading now.
So far things have been rock solid since I got my fury x driver wise.
Gaming wise has been very pleasent as well.

Same as 16.3.2 for me, unusable. Black screens of death. Msi R9 380 Gaming 2G,reverted to Windows 10 Update driver. No Crimson for me until AMD fix this disaster drivers.

Disabling ULPS fixed this issue for me.

Well, other posters explained already. But to elaborate, the division, the devs promised great multi gpu support, there is none ( apart from sli, thanks massive) Amd supposedly had a profile ready a month before the game, now the game has been out a month and still no fix and I already am finishing the game, last mission to go. Other time, The witcher 3, I ended up going 120hours in the game and beating it and when I was done with it they got a semi working profile. I wanted to buy fallout 4 but I stopped myself because crossfire issues. Project cars, same story. The last game that I could really enjoy the power of my setup was BF4 but that was so long ago....And my gpu with custom cooling has been just sitting there losing its value.

Overall. The last six months, support has been non existent from amd or im just buying wrong games. But the truth is, i just bought wrong gpus.

I dont believe in AMD and their mantle/dx12, I used to be very pro mantle, but now I dont care. Dont care about fury x and dont care about polaris. and pro duo is like a joke of the century of a card.
