Nevermind just rebooted and it's started working again, honestly I don't know why Nvidia stopped the reboots after new driver installations, too many things seem to go wrong for me without a fresh reboot.

isnt it common practice to reboot the system when updating drivers? I Been doing that for 20 some years I would think that everyone would do this special when come to anything that driver related

To be honest I normally do a reboot just slipped my mind but nvidia seemed to have removed the option in the drivers entirely now unless you perform a clean installation with the custom option but that wipes all the settings so I prefer the quick install, anyway it's all working now.

I think it been something like 10 years since I seen any nvidia driver ask to reboot the system after install drivers in any form custom or full install then again i been using custom install for drivers and physix only for just as long.

Reboot does wonders for system it why I never let my system run for days at time either. :)

Hm, quick test, one run, all max, no aa, 2560x1440:

    Code:
            364.51 364.72
    Peak 84,8 87,8
    Syria 63,7 65,2
    Valley 62,1 64,0
There is some improvement but I certainly wouldn't call it HUGE.

Those are averages. My minimum fps 50% higher in Syria

I also noticed cpu usage >75% on all 12 cores, VRAM usage @ 6120 MB

    another run on 364.72:

All maximum settings + smaa 1440p

Minimum fps on Syria still varies a lot, but the lowest it's been on this driver is still 10fps higher than previous one, 25% improvement. I've done 10 benchmark runs

Anyone tested these out on Black Ops 3 yet? Haven't installed a new driver since 359.06 for that reason lol

It's clean and simple, do you like AMD's one?
it's even uglier than it was before.

I just want them to add the missing functions from nvcp like framelimiter and to make so nvcp not take 5+ seconds to scan or do what ever it does that make so slow open profiles tab. im mean really all it file are on SSD and that slow, I go my other computer that only has HDD and the scan or what ever it does it 2 times worse

yeah is ugly but fast responsive. i'm thinking once pascal is out we will see new interface.

every time new released driver is out, i'll ask ManuelGuzman!

Fairly certain last few custom installs I did asked me to reboot afterwards but yeah I agree system reboots solve a lot of issues I still prefer to keep my system up for days at a time tho as I read it helps to extend the life of the capacitors, not sure how true that is.

you sure? less this something new in drivers after 361.91 custom install does no such thing it just show succeed/fail/not installed window with only options to to exit the program.

it been 10 years altest since i seen nvidia drivers have restart now/restart later option. if they ever really had such option cause i always done it manually

Yeah it says something like your computer needs to restart to continue installation then it reboots then once back in windows the installation starts again, it happens if I run DDU as well, nivida driver asks for system reboot before installing the driver. I'm running 3D Visiion and two Gsync monitors as well so that might have something to do with it but yeah kind of wish they would just include restart as an option in normal install so I can go make a cup of tea while it's installing. :)

No issues to report here. The Division "felt" smoother than 364.51 but it was probably just a placebo effect.

Driver is working fine. No issues on installation. Previous 364.51 whql didn't work well on my 540m.
