I believe that this driver have a memory leak.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this driver, it has broken 2 windows installs on 2 machines with completely different configurations.

I am now trying to get it off the one machine that is still booting but is stuck in black and white.

Runs completely normal here on 970 and win 10 X64. Installed via Geforce Experience.

Installed it normally through Express as I forgot to use DDU, it installed fine, used DDU after and also installed fine.

What makes people think this has a memory leak?

This crash only occures when a second display is connected.

    Solution:
    Disconnect 2nd display
    Install driver
    Reboot
    Reconnect 2nd Display
    Halleluja!

Not so sure about that (it may well be one cause) because one of the machines it crashed here is a single display. The other 2 are multi display but I got a boot loop on the single display one as well.

It`s not in any game...just open task manager and look at the system memory usage, with no game running and u will see how much memory u PC is using in idle.

Reinstalled on my main box with secondary monitors disabled and it worked perfectly so there is definitely merit to that solution but it doesn't explain why it messed up the single monitor system.

Hopefully there will be a hotfix in short order.

looks like it may have something to do with having a second monitor connected during install , users having success installing if they disconnect the second monitor , but as i only have the one monitor this fix wouldn't work for me .

May try a clean install later with DDU , but atm i will wait for more reports
