Quantum Break Will Be Exclusive To Windows Store

You thought GFWL was bad and destructive for PC gaming with many GFWL games now unplayable and only left at the mercy of devs/modders to remove that? Well think again, it was nothing compared to horrors of Windows Store DRM.

I wish Linux had better developer support and larger game library. I feel ready to get the hell out of world of windows.....

Well, that will hurt sales greatly!
So once again it's just empty words from MS that they take pc gaming seriously, and windows 10 as a gaming platform. All the things they av done for gaming on windows for the last 10 years (GFWL) as been more anti-gaming than pro..
Thought about getting this, but seeing all the limitations (x-fire/sli etc.) i will not buy it before it perhaps will come on steam.

Personally I wouldn't have problem in having multiple portals for games from different companies. But one thing that is important, is that the portal has to be good to be used. So far nothing compares even remotely to steam. So they really have a long way to go in terms of development. That being said, I have no personal experience of windows store.

Acually I do like Blizzards launcher, but that doesn't really compare as it's only for so small content. (quality is great though)

 

So this is worse than GFWL huh?...wow, didn't think that was even possible.

Oh well, I didn't even know about this game until now, guess I'll pass on it and all the other xbone "exclusives" that come out on PC with this DRM.

 

even on steam i wouldn't have buy it... steam is just a step better, but it's still not a good portal.

That and some better hardware support.
I've been using linux as my mane os ever since I start it testing windows's 10 BS antics.

 

This will hurt the sales of the game really bad on PC. Well I guess I just have to skip it then. I have ZERO desire to make an online login on my PC.

 

Steam is the only DRM I'm willing to tolerate and that's only because it offers as much convenience as inconvenience.

It doesn't really have anything to do with that. On PC it's dx12 exclusive in any case, so it could have been released on Steam, and people would still have needed Win10. This has more to do with MS wanting more people to use its own store and probably to advertise the sync between Windows and Xbox.

 

Not a big deal to me.

wtf is it with windows store games having such stupid things like no fullscreen. vsync on etc..? that uttely ****s up numerous good things like gsync/freesync etc..
