There has to be a reg trick to get rid of our nVidia cards showing up in "safely remove hardare" tray.

I dont just want to hide it the tray icon, as I use it for USB device removal often.

After installing these drivers in Windows 10 system shows my GTX970 is removable device. So, a new ****ed up thing made by nVidia. Yay.

Just wait for the next driver people and spare yourself the hassle at the cost of a few fps... Way better than being upset about this.

Read the previous comments? That option is harmless, it is made for the Thunderbolt Technology and in the next release that icon will be removed for PCIe cards. So, there's nothing which is f...d up.

If you're referring to me, you're only paraphrasing what I meant, we share the opinion. It's no big deal... and if people really are annoyed by it, simply go back to the last driver release that they liked. As easy as that, probably 10 minutes of time. ;)

Don't the release notes only mention 6k/7k series as legacy though?

Seriously, what difference does this make right now?
There are no real DX12 games yet, and most likely a single GTX 480/580 would be too slow to run such content anyway at a decent resolution.

Well, nvidia already made dx 12 available for fermi in dev driver. Only able to run 3dmark dx 12 api overhead test so far.

With MSI GTX 780, (no overclocking) I cant scale stretch CSGO resolution with this driver. Also Im having model stuttering in Black Ops 3 (Combine map). Previous driver had also gfx errors at combine but they worse (black sky etc).

I installed the drivers last night and they do not solve the clocks idling at max as the release notes state. I have SLI Titan X graphic cards with 3 144hz monitors. The least they could do is not lie in their release notes.

What release notes? I don't think that there are any release notes for a driver which will support Pascal.

They have about half a year to push DX12 Fermi support out of the door but I fully expect them to move Fermi to legacy after Pascal release.

Thank you for the time you put in to these bench marks.

I have a couple of questions though.

1 Were all the benchmarks done on your current video card?

2 Why are there 3 completely different average scores on each test? different benchmark program tests for each driver perhaps?
