Guys, got vp9 working again on youtube

You have to do the user agent override thing in about:config and change your browser version to like 45.0

How do we disable addon signing with FF44?

They said they wouldn't disable that ability until FF46, but I can't use the dev build of youtube centre any more

    Even with xpinstall.signatures.required = false

Well I can still use my fixed Finnish spell checker so it does work... at least in my case.

YTC also not working on my side, tested on dozen of rigs with Win7SP1 64bit and Win8.1 Pro 64bit, both on FF 32bit & FF 64bit. FF shows YTC as active on Addon list (xpinstall.signatures.required is set to: false) but when opening Youtube YTC is completely unactive. Guess will have to find a workaround for this, maybe it's a bug on FF side or wait and pray to Gods that YTC finally gets signed.

Few other unsigned Addons ike UnMHT are working fine on my side.

    edit
I have a feeling it some sort of incompatibility between YTC Dev.version (it wasn't updated recently iirc) and FF 44.0. Probably it'll be resolved with updated YTC in a matter of days, hope so.

Exactly the same symptoms here, thanks for testing

Yea hopefully it gets updated then, I might give the dev a shout if I can contact him/her, but chances are they already know

Guess they know already, someone already posted an issue on GitHub about this some 10 hours ago, few others are also confirming same problem

Ah right, good stuff, I'm sure he'll update it then, people like running the latest browser update, and he'll not want his addon dropped

Wonder what the greasemonkey script is that one of the comments says fixes it

I have nothing but problems with this newest Firefox especially when clicking a link in my email. It has stopped responding so many times my Reliability Index is in the negative numbers since updating yesterday. Anyone else? I tried repairing Live Mail and reinstalled FF without success.

There was an update for WLMail that completely ruined it for me a couple weeks back, might be the same problem

I fixed it by reinstalling WLMail then hiding the update, info here

No problems so far on my side with FF 44.0. Try to scan system with AdwCleaner and latest HitmanPro (use one time scan, something like that, enter real or fake e-mail, doesn't matter). Few friends who are using FF had a bunch of problems with FF 42.x and 43.x, AdwCleaner and HitmanPro found and killed God knows how many things, after cleaning FF for all of them are doing just fine.

I remember a lot of issues with Live Mail not responding that suddenly cleared up. I'd hate to go back to using Chrome but Firefox is trying my patience lately. Many of my add-ons are disabled because they aren't signed or something weird. I found a setting to 'Refresh Firefox' and it totally destroyed everything removing all of my extensions and add-ons. This means war!
