Thank you! Was going to say the same thing. Go look at the screenshots of Watch Dogs, ACU and pretty much every other Ubisoft game on Steam. Almost every picture looks amazing. Then you play the game and wonder what the hell happened! The Division will be no different.

To be fair those same games look great in user screenshots threads from many forums.

The shots above are likely ingame that have been "tweaked" afterwards, or running a build of the game that will not be released to the public.

The other extreme is the shot above which has either been "tweaked" to look bad or is a screengrab of a YouTube video.

Yeah, those were marketing screens. Polished up and staged to look as engaging as possible.

Thing it, this isn't a new thing.
There were faked screenshots for Duke Nukem 3D and Doom. This has been happening as long as gaming has been happening.

Now, the trailers... that's a different story. Still, not "new"... but not as old of a practice.

Something wrong with it then,as screenshots of X1 footage look better than that.

    I'm new here.

Can anyone who have access to the game take proper screenshots and upload them so it doesn't get compressed to all hell? I appreciate the screenshots and all but they don't seem to do the game's graphics justice. :)

No, there isnt. Its a direct screen shot of the game maxed out. It just doesn't look that good in places.

Did you see the rest of the album?

So odd how you can show people direct capture pics of a game and how it looks, But they would rather believe the massive dev company ( who are known for not exactly being honest ) that are trying to sell them a product.

Any chance you could upload them to a different host? Imgur really shafts on compression.

EDIT: Soooo sorry, didn't scroll up.

Its cool, The AA really doesnt help in pics. Has a vaseline effect that when turned off, and the " sharpness " slider is changed can make the game look much better.

The images in the back of the truck are the first ones taken, The ones of the guy standing solo by the lights are the last ones taken.

I'm guessing the ones in the back of the truck had the sharpness slider off totally? Your character looks like it was hit with a gaussian blur.

It's not about not believing anyone or believing devs it's just that the screenshots themselves look worse than the alot of the console footage i've saw.

I hope you don't mind my questions as I pick over the screenshots (thank you for them, by the way). How are the reflections? A lot of people tote the puddles on the ground reflecting really nicely, but the ones in the 6th screenshot from the end (sorry, I can't link yet. /photos/137925626@N06/24550143545) don't seem to be reflecting the scene at all.
