We just need a fix for the fix.

So what we need is a "ReFix" with a short list of "Know issues".

Really solved "Know issues", hidden problems or silently disabled CFX are not "solved issues".

    :D

Latest Afterburners out, so hopefully a higher clock profile will sort the clock bouncing out in these Crimsons :p

So, weird problem here with crossfire 7950s, although it also happens if I turn one of them off. Every time I die in Star Wars Battlefront, my screen turns black as if the graphics adapters are re-initializing; it takes a second or two and then I'm back in the game.

pastebin.com/X5gWM2qd - a one minute FRAPS benchmark; the drop to zero is when the re-initializing happens

Couple that with the atrocious performance and the menu flickering with crossfire and the game is highly frustrating for me.

    More info:
    * two 7950s in crossfire on a 1440p QNIX
    * tried at both 60 and 96 Hz, with or without patched drivers (atikmdag)
    * tried multiple fresh driver installs (I always uninstall with DDU), also went back to the previous Crimson driver set and the catalyst betas; it doesn't seem to happen with the catalyst betas, but performance is even worse then

Anyone having similar issues? Any tips?

This seems to be a more general problem with GUI/UI elements. In addition to the FO4 compass I have seen issues with triangles of the HUD and GUI components flickering in BF4 and other people reported it in GTA V. Like with FO4, the non-Crimson .dll's resolve the issue in BF4. I tried it just once in the test range as I have no idea how this would interact with PunkBuster.

Does someone know where the gameprofilesettings are located?

    Searching in C:\Users\username\\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\WSProfiles.xml
didn't give me much to use.

Could be in the registry perhaps? (That's where several of the CNext settings are at least.)
(I added a couple of exe files too but couldn't find anything immediate that would be a indication of being the files for those profiles.)

Hmm, comparing to former drivers wil be difficult then. I wanted to compare them to see if there are any differences in the gameprofiles and to correct them if possible.
Apart from not working gameprofiles for games who allready have a standard CF profile (forcing AFR for games who don't does work, the latest Crimsons don't give me much other issue's, so if I can solve the profile issues I would like to keep them.

For some games the dropping clockspeed is solvable by alt-tabbing out and in the game again.

Edit: thanx theoneofgod, wil take a look there and try to make something of it ;)

I see this contains only the installed game(profiles) and not all the predefined ones. I'm trying to find a way the use the predefined profile "Fear".

Have you tried renaming the .exe to Fear (or whatever the .exe is called).

Problem is, it's a steamgame (Skyrim) so the only way to get this working is to use a crack I think? I could try for Fallout 3/nv.

You can try the "Force Anti Aliasing Profile" function of RadeonPro.

No dice, also choosing Fear from there as a CF profile, I also get a yellow screen, which only goes away when I disable advanced d3d9 hooking.

I was never biased but i'm really losing my faith in AMD right now. This crimson driver does more harm than good and it shouldn't even be public. Almost every DX11 game shows visual glitches (artifacts) or HUD problems. Probably something related to vram, like PrMinisterGR said.
All i know is that it's not my system, it's the driver... And the fact that a big company like AMD can miss something like this is just beyond me...
They better fix this asap or i'm gonna have a green christmas.

fan still sticks and my card nearly cooked last playing playing fifa!!. i noticed that some of the textures had started artifacting so i shut the game down opened afterburner and the temp was 94c with 18% fan

im not one to normally moan about things but WTF AMD?

also vsr turns itself off after every reboot,, staying on 15.11.1 for the foreseeable i guess :/
