    Haha you must be joking?

So SLI doesn't work? nVidia...please, step up your game or stop advertising SLI. It's really embarassing.

Every now and then, i'm seeing light flickering, it only lasts for about 5 -10 seconds each time..

    Using 359.06

    Anybody else?

*Update - Apparently it can be fixed by turning off "Global illumination" in the graphic settings. I tried this and it has worked, no more flickering

no SLI does work but the game just needs a patch to get it working. Nvidia have already said this.

As of right now, it doesn't work (0x00000004) is single GPU and that is the setting in the current Nvidia profile, nothing to do with the game.

Hopefully, it is just a case of a patch and an updated profile and preferably in the next 24 hours, not the next 24 days.

Yah, it's a 'known issue'

I love having to disable graphical features to get my games working properly, it's f*cking awesome.

I guess I am supposed to believe that no one bothered to test this NVIDIA GAMEWORKS title on a 980Ti throughout it's entire development (subsequently realizing that this was a problem) or (the more likely answer), they knew it was a problem and simply didn't bother to fix it because of their deadlines.

    To get Osd to work..

Exit out of both Afterburner/Precision X and Rivatuner. Close Just Cause 3.

    Download this profile..

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20406996/guru3d forum/JustCause3.exe.cfg

And drop it into C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\Profiles

Open back up Afterburner\Evga Precision X (Rivatuner should start automatically).

    Start Just Cause 3.

Looks like they consider the game engine to be incompatible with multi-GPU setups.

Yet there is a green checkmark with 'SLI' written next to it on Nvidia's site.

I'm sick to my back teeth of this sh!t.

Stop promoting SLI if you aren't going to support it and FFS stop talking about DX12 and mixed GPUs because if you can't even get this working properly after over a decade, I have little hope you will be particularly successful with a totally new technology

That flickering isn't an issue with 980 Ti users, i got the same thing with my 970.

    People never learn.

It's not Nvidia that isn't supporting SLI. It's game devs.

Speaking as someone that has had a few different multi-gpu configurations, it's not worth it. It's up to devs to support multi-gpu, and it isn't an easy thing to do. You're essentially counting on devs to support a niche market in ONE of their target markets (pc, xbone, ps4) and devote a lot of time to supporting one feature.

While it would be nice, the fact of the matter is that devs rarely do it. Just buy one big GPU.

Just got the game(retail CE) and it's installing now(5dvds so gonna take some time)
But looking at the comments here and elsewhere I'm not expecting smooth gameplay...

No, that's a lame excuse is what that is.

Just Cause 3 is a prime example - Nvidia's website clearly states it is SLI compatible and we have JC3 devs saying it isn't.

It's six of one and a half dozen of the other.

As someone who has used SLI since when in it was still 'Scan Line Interleave', I can safely say that the serious problems with SLI support are very recent.

And please, don't talk to me about 'never learning'

These f*ckers constantly advertise SLI and 4K (and you need SLI for 4K) as if it's the second coming, and Nvidia are in control of their advertising, not random game devs.

I'm hoping the next round of GPUs are good enough for single card 3440 x 1440 because SLI has become a very bad joke of late.

SLI and crossfire should be banned, instead we need to get one ultra strong GPU that work with all games, minimal driver dependencies.

Let it be a lesson and drop SLI, it never was worth it in my case.

Exact same issue here too with the v359.00 drivers...I mentioned it earlier but no-one at that point had. My guess is we need new drivers because having to turn off a game setting, one that makes the lighting look better, is a workaround rather than a fix.

I am surprised NVIDIA have not released a game-ready driver for Just Cause 3.

After attempting to continue my game this is how JC3 now plays for me...

Now that's what I call an epic bug. :D

Looks like disabling Global Illumination fixed the flickering guys, try it.

It's not even worth the FPS hit tbh, i can't tell the difference anyway.
