Ya, i saw this before but i thought it was my memory fooling me.

A "hotfix" use to be a small patch for a software or a new build of the same software with a minimal difference in size.

In this case it doesn't look like a "hotfix" increasing the size around 40%.

I can do an Xdelta between the previous Crimson and this one to see which files were changed, and which were left intact. :) Heck, I can even release a "Hotfix" that'll turn your previously downloaded Crimson drivers into the updated one.

    Size use to matter.

    :D

Empty space is what doesn't matter.

I don't think they added empty space in this.

Szaby59: Also don't forget one thing. AMD rep recommended 3rd party to control fan to make sure , users won't run into 0% or 20% fan issue. I am sure you will understand while i send it to you.

Is this the full package? Seems so based on it's size. Also, should I run DDU before installing it?

It seems you didn't get it last time you tried to flame me.

I'm inmune to this kind of tactics.

The Crimson hotfix driver works on my 7970; now the card defaults to automatic fan control rather than manual 20%. So far, it hasn't turned off the automatic setting like the previous driver did.

Yep, beta are Crismon Edition too. They are supposed to be hotfix for the fan speed problems many are encountering. I actually had that problem a 5 minutes ago. I was in add or remove programs in control panel, and I wanted to check installed updates, so I clicked on "View Installed Updated", when all of sudden, display driver crashed and fan started working at 100% (it was set to auto previously, but it changed speed by itself). If you had the same or similar issue (fan working at 20% or lower), then install these one. I just downloaded then, and will install them now.
P.S. Sorry for my bad English.
