I have the same problem, and I remember we both have had this problem a lot in the past when new drivers came out. But not everyone with a 7970 (mine is technically 2x7970) has had this problem though. Also, I do not even have this problem with every driver, so no clue. At least I have everything installed now, but what a hassle.

Yes, i noticed that too. If i dont touch the settings after restart then there is no crash on shut down.

Crimson is the end of life to mine 6790? Too bad
    So, who is better, 290x/380?

380 (Tonga) is newer, 290x is way faster.

id go with the 290x, they are cheap and should hold you off till Greenland.

btw: has anyone exited the crimson tray icon and see if the game profiles still get activated?

    @the9quad

From your charts results 15.11.1 beta vs Crimson....Is CFX broken in Crimson for this game (chart 1)?

It seems like you took off one GPU (chart 2).

About frame times i have no words (chart 3 @ 4).

Loving the new UI, absolutely brilliant.

One question though, what would be the correct setting for Shader Cache? AMD Optimized or simply On?

    Thanks.

DxCache folder was non-existant. Was playing couple of games and nothing then i fired up Witcher 3 and finally there it was after.

Right ok fine but why doesn't it work on a per game basis? I mean why include it in profiles at all if it does nothing? Why doesn't setting vsync in game profiles do anything still? It just baffles me why these things don't work.

I eventually disabled tray icon...and after adding new game profiles they are all activated normally...so it would seems.

Ugh, well, GameDVR is once again broken, crashing every time.

Surprisingly, it was working almost flawlessly in 15.10 (even still worked when alt-tabbing or minimising a game).

This is why I hate the AMD Gaming Evolved app, it's so unreliable and unpredictable.

Hopefuly it's still a selectable option in the bundle driver installer and we are not forced to have it.

I fear somebody at AMD had the bright idea to integrate his "amazing" features as they are now IN the drivers and not the bundle!

Profiles are still functioning without the tray icon.

    AMD Optimized = On

Gaming Evolved is optional, at least in this first release of Crimson.

    I know it's optional that's why i said "selectable".

My fear is the "at least" possibility.

Same here. Install just hangs at 2%. Already tried a clean install a few times.

EDIT: Waited several (15?) minutes and made it to 19%
