Crytek Back to Dinosaur Island Tech Demo

I saw ripple when he was walking near water.. but ye no reflection from him.

Also no settings to change, I was stuck at 1360x768 reso with 120fps pinned and no stuff to control at all..

 

im confused, everyones done nothing but complain that crytec makes nothing but tech demos and that they're releasing an actual tech demo, everyones excted?

 

It's not a tech demo for ordinary people. It's a tech demo for special people with super powers.

To you it looks like an ordinary tech demo. In actual fact it's a gateway to other worlds if you have the right training.

 

Sooo... stargate, then?

Just tried it on the DK2. Well, the mosquito and T-Rex up close were actually good. Which I cannot say the same for the rest of the demo. Surroundings details etc were pretty average. Probably even below average.

I'm sure they could had made a more realistic jungle scenery which would add a lot more to the demo.

 

The stargate needs new mobo and gpu combo

 

based only on the youtube video, it doesnt look very impressive

also...where's the feathers???
