Fallout 4 at E3 exciting rumours

There's a 1.1.30 patch in beta (public beta?) according to the info on SteamDB so there might be a release date update just before the game is unlocked, that and for some reason sometimes the preload system gets stuck on downloading the redistrubtable files and keeps downloading them periodically.
(That's the 228984 depot for VC++ 2013 I think and 228990 for DirectX 2010 June redist.)

I was just wondering if anybody here was actually getting it on a console. If I get the game it will certainly not be on my old PS3, I was just curious.

 

I bought mine for PC...I will not get an FPS game for my PS4..Mouae and Keyboard FTW..

I only buy Conaole Exclusive games..If the game is available on PC then I will surely buy it to play in my PC..

 

Seen footage from the first couple of hours of the game, taken from both the PS4 and Xbox One version. Looks very good but definitely has a strong Fallout 3.5 vibe to it, almost to the point where it seems like an offshoot a la New Vegas rather than a brand new game. Still very much looking forward to playing it though as despite the issues that usually plague Bethesda games (stuttering, ropey animations, stiff cutscenes, inventory bugs, etc) they are top of their league when it comes to crafting entertaining quests and worlds to explore. There weaknesses, other than the aforementioned ones, usually lie in writing memorable characters but maybe this will be the game that changes all that?

Should get my physical PC copy today hopefully but my understanding is that not all of the game is on disc anyway. I will likely pre-load it anyway as Steam does not usually allow you to install games from disc ahead of their release, something that has always annoyed me since they always let me pre-load 99% of the time.

 

All set with an Australian VPN so I can play it on my day off. Just 4 1/2 hours, woo.

It's been delayed in New Zealand by 2 hours.

 

Embargoes make me nervous....like they have something to hide.

I use PIA, NZ gives me the same timeframe.

So far, it seems the release is like this, PS4 has frame drops into the 20s, XB1 same thing but less often, and pc fine with modern hardware. Many are comparing it to the witcher 3 launch. Though, witcher 3 still has issues staying above 30 fps on console.

Haven't seen anyone complain about the gameplay.

4 more hours and I'll see for myself.

Ummmmn what!? That 2hr delay is real and announced not long ago! So you refer to an "self-made timer page" some1 made and PROBABLY/OBVIOUSLY didnt update yet!? Oh man,..

NZ has same unlock time as Australia now. Understood? Thats 3hrs and 46 minutes from now on.

They prevent alot gamers from holding off from pre-order and day 1 purchasing. imo. Hype and lack of info leads to must have it now mentality/spending.

 

Or they can suck my balls. Will wait for more info before thinking of buying it, even if it costs me a few euros more.

 

I wish i was off tomorrow ill have to wait until tomorrow night!

 

I gotta leave for a 2 day trip. I hope i can unlock the game until tomorrow morning and at least start playing on my laptop in the hotel.
