I'm fine with Whitelisting this site for Adblock but Ghostery is currently blocking over 100 trackers for this site alone so...no, I'm not disabling Ghostery for ANY sites. Hell, since I disabled Adblock for this site, the page is much slower on my work computer (Core2Duo with basic video card) so yeah, Adblock is not just about blocking ads, it prevent malware and removes all performance loss due to ads.

As site revenue goes down, full body condom income is on the rise....

#1 reason why I will never surf the web with out adblocker. Not worth it even it it legit site as still happens.

Followed by sites load much slower cause there are just to many ads, then the flash/video audio ads..

    I'll enable for Guru3D.

I don't for other sites, as I hate ads with a passion. But I like the site very much, so I'll make G3D the exception.

Disabled adblock on guru3d. You should add "donate" option :)

It still baffles me that tech savvy users can't find a button.

    >> DONATE BUTTON <<

I just disabled adblock on this site. However, i have to mention , if i turn it off my cpu gets huge performance hit. Lot of ads on this site. Means i will read less article in the future, i will strait go to forum.

Whitlisted, and thanks again Hilbert for keeping this site alive. I've been enjoying your content for free since the Voodoo Guru days a-way-back-when, even when you briefly 'retired' for a bit about 12-13 years ago ;)

Hopefully everyone will respect your wishes and allow ads through so you can keep the site alive for another decade or two!

    Done.

    Guru3d.com no longer AdBlocked.

I have to say though, loading the site after disabling AdBlock Plus is a much longer process and navigation within the site and forums is noticeably slower. Like, surprisingly so.
I'm not browsing on some weak sauce office PC, this is my primary desktop with 16GB of RAM and i7 3770k.

Just wanted to mention that as user experience feedback.

Looks like we are and many of us in the same shoe. Way to many ads going on at the main page.

The Devastating Effect of not blocking Ads!

Ads allowed: I can't even find guru3d in this mess. It's a mine field of click jack attempts I don't want to walk through, or even mouse over.

Ad blockers on: ...aaahhh...much better. The pull down menu on the left is NoScript alone and Guru3d is allowed in it (that is the second level of trash guru3d's ad servers want to fetch), uBlock is on the right blocking even more. As soon as I allow that huge list in NoScript, they all go out and fetch more and the list doubles, and then those all go fetch more, and those go fetch....get my point? This is my PC. My bandwidth. Not some public ad bot for the entire internet to use to bombard me with nonsense and malware attempts.

I did not noticed that my ad blocker has any effect, disabled now to my favorite hardware news site.

I white-listed it for now, but I don't block ads because they're annoying. I do it because I've gotten most malware from infected ads..

If he is not willing to abide by the owners request he can leave. it's pretty simple.

Whitelisted, although the main reason why I block ads is because it seriously speeds up page loading times.

Then again that could be attributed to my aging 12 mbit DSL connection.

On slower PC's at work it's even worse though, can't even scroll properly on some webpages until ads have finished loading.

All be damned, well that's my main issue.

    Ads disabled:

    Bam, page loaded, scroll instantly

    Ads enabled:

Bam, main page loaded, trying to scroll to... must... le lag... argghhh... k I'm there.

And on some slower machines... good mother love of god (at work when I was setting up a cheap AMD CPU laptop of € 499, it took me 20 to 30 seconds before I could scroll some webpages).

No matter what kind of rig you have or browser, still will be very slow without ads block. However, i would love to help this site, but really killing or rig in this phase as we have right now.

Hilbert, please take our respect but this way , causing more harm to our 3DGuru experience.
