NVIDIA GeForce 358.50 WHQL

Installed trough GF EXP, had a runtime error after install.

GF EXP claims I have the previous driver installed, the one for MGS.
When searching for updates, it says driver is up to date.
NV CONFIG says I have this driver installed.

 

Run fine for me, Mad max-Gta5-MGS5- Dirt rally all smooth.

 

I also got a runtime error after install using GFE Express install. Restarted the PC and everything is fine, with the correct version showing in all instances.

 

DAI (Dragon Age: Inquisition) for some reason does not crash anymore with these drivers. If someone else is playing please verify.

 

There are also r358 quadrant drivers on NVidia site. Still no wddm 2.0 and dx 12 for Fermi but in quadro release pdf they still saying that with r358 Fermi will use wddm 2.0

 

Tried these drivers with Far Cry 4 for a little bit last night. They "Feel" smoother than 356.04 drivers. Perhaps I was having some hitching with the previous driver set that I wasn't completely aware of until trying these where I may no longer be experiencing that. I did not try with Gameworks settings on, as those caused crashing with all previous drivers I have tried. I can try them again, but I believe this is a game/ubisoft issue, not a nVidia driver problem. I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit, btw.

Yes, native for me is 1080p, DSR is still "under development" I guess and custom resolutions are not working.

However I guess that if they fix it they will proudly write it in main description's change log of driver..

you have made so many thousands of posts here, still can you please use spoilers for SS bigger than most ordinary resolution that most people have? (1080p..)

I'm on 1080p too, and that SS is like only 2" longer... not really a biggy but I`ll hide it just for you

I mean, does it work on Windows 7 ? It's good to know that they work for you with SLI+G sync on W10 but for users like me with W7 ?

 

i bet it works 100% on windows7

This driver finally fixes custom resolutions and fixed the horrible sli performance I was having in Skyrim. So far very pleased.

 

Nnedi3 working great, LAVFilters Nvidia Cuvid or whatever it's called not so much.

I downloaded Quadro 358.50, modded the inf for my 970 and installed. I think its identical to the Geforce driver. Branch is 358_00_102

Just a thought: what if gurus which saw decrease in Unigine`s benchmarks just have ruined profiles for these apps.

 

Assassin's Creed Rogue is completely broken with these. Missing NPCs, buildings and textures.

Actually, AMD is still supporting the HD 5000 and 6000 series. The latest driver specifically mentioned a fix for World of Warships for these series, so there's at least some work still going on behind the scenes for these cards.


It's true Nvidia does have superior support for the older series however. Nvidia's DX10 generation was moved to legacy one year ago and will continue to be supported until 2016. The DX10 generation have official Win10 support with WDDM 1.2 drivers.
