I understand, that you had to try, but pixel density of that video looks like 1600x900 upscaled to 1920x1080. At start, Texture quality is clearly medium. Effects follow same suit. Texture on cloth of characters does not even have displacement/bump mapping.

Video, you posted reminds me of 2015 UFO videos captured on VHS. "You see, it is there, it is proof that aliens exist."

Great review Hilbert! The game looks very pretty. Wish I could have played the beta though. Looks like I'll be needing to upgrade my RAM in time for the launch in Nov!

  3. looks good but i think i'll still be struggling a little with my old rig :( well i'll see it myself later today xD

Thanks, HH. Maybe add Tahiti XT as well? :)

Article updated October 8th - added more graphics cards, added FCAT frame-time results, added image quality vs performance results.

looks like my factory OC 770 4GB should hit close to 60fps @ 1080p - pleased!

I hope you realize, that you used low quality video as proof of something, do you?
And then your original h264 video still looks quite worse than one I posted for comparison.

Maybe it runs well on good details, but it can't be confirmed from given video.
For purpose of showing might of older hardware, people usually visit settings tab in game before showing how it runs.

HH, thanks for update. Do you intend to add vram utilization on AMD HW too?

btw, in about 2.5 hours, everyone can test beta, it is available for free on Origin.
Too bad I have only 3 hours of gaming today and then leaving for weekend. Beta ends as I return...

You need 1100/1500 on 280 to match 280X stock. If thats your oc you can expect 60fps just like in HH review.

No problem man, I tried finding a regular 280 ... but could not find it hence I used the 280X.

I could check VRAM with AMD, but realistically, it should be all the same behaviour. This title pretty much caches accordingly and properly.

    To Monchis

    Here, have a cookie.
Your 660 does just fine in this game, so you can stop bashing how badly optimized this game is. Let your mighty 660 rule (99% same visuals)!

I don't get what he is on about the 660 was a weak card for 1920x1080 when released.

    not quite

    1180 Gpu, 1400 Vram

power limited to +20% due to locked voltage control

The VRAM speed won't make much difference.

To be honest, if you have an GTX 460, more than enough to play this game. Just to make it clear. I played 2 hours and just like i play with mario.

Yeah, Vram overclock isnt making much of a difference. At 1180core you are already faster than 280X stock.
