BF Bad Company 2 online lag issue with 355.xx and 358.xx drivers

guys, i'm having a huge blow with lag on my bf bad company 2 during online play with latest 355.xx drivers. it's been described in details by another user here on reddit:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/badcompany2...fter_updating/

does anyone have any workaround? i don't feel like putting bad company 2 into dx9 mode, as some people suggested on reddit.

which was the last driver working without this issue for bad company 2?

any help is more than welcomed, thanks in advance!

353.82 worked well for me when I tested the game a few weeks ago.

I always play this game even today, i always run in dx9 so i can use custom 8xMSAA+ 8xSGSSAA and get a constant 100fps.
Using driver 353.38 on windows 8.1, all games work flawlessly and ultra smooth.

change resolution in game to a lower one and then change it back to native, should sort gpu usage out.

    that's not WHQL driver right?

putting game into dx9 mode is my last option... i would like to try all other solutions before that... anything else in mind?

i tried that and it works when you play on that server where you change resolution. but first time when you change to another server, lag is back. completely the same like that user on reddit link i posted above described. so it's not really a solution. other ideas?

thanks for replies guys, so far i didn't find anything to be final solution.

This game using "stuttering fix" drivers 347.25 crashes every few minutes making it unplayable.

If you want to decrase stuttering in bfbc2, open taskmanager find affinity remove it from one cpu, and if you like can put it back in.

work your way down from latest drivers, 355, 353, etc, until you find one that works best.

Are you sure your GPU just isn't downclocking ?

The MP is basically dead anyway and the game is abandoned by EA with some of the worst netcode this side of hell.

It happens in the SP as well, i'm unsure if it is a game/os/driver issue though, and not got the time to test.

Changing the resolution fixes it, but that's not a workable fix to do in MP if it happens every map change.

    drivers issue 100%.

should we test it with 347.25 or 347.52 (both whql)?

Thought it might be, but last time I played the game i was on W7 and using a 570.

Will test tonight as I still haven't got round to installing my second card so will do this at the same time.

    Guys,

The issue with BFBC2 has been introduced somewhere in the r355 driver branch. Any driver before that will work fine.

Currently I'm using 353.38 which is a driver I can surely recommend for BC2, on all Windows versions.

The 347.xx drivers work just as well, but be reminded that you might have to dial down your overclocking a little since these drivers seem to be a little more sensitive toward clock speed increases.

are you sure it all started with 355.xx series?

i think it started with all 35x. series of drivers. btw, i don't see 353.38 as a whql, here is the list of 353.xx whql drivers:

    Code:
GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL	353.62	July 29, 2015
GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL	353.30	June 22, 2015
GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL	353.06	May 31, 2015

I'm not sure, but I think it was about the 355 drivers that the reports started popping up about huge frame drops.

There is a thread on reddit and on the Geforce Forums, unfortunately I can't link yet. According to these threads, 355.82 was the first version that these issues were reported.

I noticed this with the new developer drivers, FPS were tanking to 20 or so but it only happens in some maps, it's so weird.

    DX9 works fine though.
