This is quite honestly one of the best beta's I've been a part of. Loving the game which is so what I wanted from a new R6 outing. R6 meets SWAT 4. Performance is fantastic and didn't have any issues in any of the matches I played, I played around 3 rounds.
Didn't get into the technical test my self, but I really believe there will be no single player to this game. I believe it is just multiplayer. If so and the game is full price retail, then it will be a fail sales wise. They need to price this game around the £25 range, not too cheap so people pass it off as a semi-indie title, but not so expensive as to piss people off who buy it for single player as well and then realise it has little content. Then price the DLC packs at £10 each for say, 5 new maps, skins and guns. Also releasing a map editor would be awesome. I hope to god their are more game modes than just "attack & defend".
If not, and if there truly is no singleplayer, and they hired an A list actress simply for voice overs on multiplayer 'mission briefings', AND they charge $60 for it.... ... then they are absolutely trying to cash in on the Clancy name. And they absolutely won't be getting my money.
Exactly. A great SP game needs great characters, storyline, cutscenes or even dynamic decisions. A great MP game needs... ppl who are fun to play with - good luck with that.
Learn to stop calling it a CS. CS is just a running around game nothing like this game which is 100% based on what counter terrorism would be they take the risk to make it such a real life thing, unlike css, cs go which is just running around killing each other and plant the bomb if you feel like it.
Even if you're right how comes you think ppl will play it like a real counter terrorism game? Ppl will play it like CS, you and i know it. Hence why i wish it would have a great SP story where i need to save a big city from a threat with AI bots who play by the rules.
You're kidding me right? The days of TC games being anything close to what they once where are long gone. Ubis been cashing in on the TC name since Red Storm were dismantled and TC passed away. Ubi stopped making anything close the what the games were once they moved onto Vegas and Advanced warfighter series. If you want a proper team based counter terrorism game, best to stick to the older TC games or play Swat 3 and 4. If this new RS is what todays gamers consider real, then no wonder games are so watered down these days.
R6 Ravenshield was the best one and i played it to death. The Vegas series was weaker tacticswise but still had a better story imo. So it comes down what you prefer. If they would nail great tactics with bots and a great story that could be the best R6 game ever made. But instead they go for a BF4 clone for MP close quarters & destruction.
The beta goes live today 24/09/2015 I have redeemed my code I got from a recent humble bundle for access to the beta but its still not unlocked in Uplay??
