Unfortunately the new driver didn't fix the issue, the display driver kernel still crashes sometimes when computer wakes up from sleep mode. It seems to be related to the time it has spent in sleep mode. Occasionally everything is ok upon wake-up but after a few seconds an artifact appears on the desktop, followed by the driver recovery message. I have tried doing a clean reinstall but it did not help. Maybe the issue is related to some power saving or bios settings ...

If I remember correctly it was a Windows 10 problem, not just the driver. Should be fixed in version "Windows 10547", please test.

How do I check which Windows build I have?

Yes, this must have been fixed but the latest branch of Nvidia drivers seem to have reintroduced it. Proof of this is attested by the fact that going to the earlier NV windows 10 drivers does not yield these problems, you can leave your computer on sleep for countless hours and resume swiftly

    OK. will report it again.

@Racer11, go to "run", enter "cmd" and then "ver"

    or look in registry at..

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version

Or simply dxdiag and run the DirectX diagnostic tool check under System tab

I have 10240. Can I update manually or do I have to wait for Windows update?

I have the same issue @ work with my gtx 750. Was using Win10 default 353.(something). I updated to 355.82 a week ago and the issue still persists. Happens only sometimes after wake but after the first crash it starts crashing randomly until I do a reboot.

You're not into easy ways, are you? =) Open Explorer, File, Help, About Windows. The build number is shown there.

Another way to check your version is by typing Winver at the Start Menu and it will show the same as what dr_rus posted.

Just had that issue now and i'm with b10547 and 355.97 on a gtx970. I'll downgrade the driver to 355.82 as I never had that before.

I've been having the same issue with the 355.84 driver since clean installing 10547.
