Mind adding in the built in SSAO into that comparison?

It's nice but NOT physically correct.
The IN-GAME SSAO is the best if you mind the physical correctness.

    See the washbasin cable shadows.

    NO SSAO

    IN GAME SSAO (High)

I personally feel that both of those look bad, worse than the built in SSAO.

Have you found any other working flags that are more subtle? (Try some of the newer flags added in recent drivers like for MGSV and whatnot)

I'll probably add it with a note anyway to advise people to check the comparison to see if they feel it's worth using.

yes, im agree accorded as you said, in some areas, HBAO is not working correctly, but i'm asking if the inspector tool could correct these aspects of the flags,i made and experiment wich work in dark souls based in the reshade-mastereffect injector (last version) with the improved raymarched HBAO (is really nice), SSAO an SAO, wich correct the AO with some light parameters , and then hide the effect or pushes the AO behind the light, this obvisly is succed beacuse hese people work in the deph buffer..so,, there is the question, woud be anyway to made this in the nvidia inspector?(i hope that guru knight..). In any case, thanks for all to make interest in this discussion.

  10. Thanks for updating the document with the changes! :)

MrBonk, I have a question regarding the DirectX 11 flags. First of all, I have read the first post on this thread about DirectX 10/11 flags being the 0x00UV0000 format, generally. I have short tested around 200 flag combinations :bang: for the DirectX11 version of Shadow Warrior (2013) (64 bit), but none bore HBAO+ fruit (not even glitching or GPU usage drops, almost like nothing is being applied). I was able to discover the DX9 flag, but the DX9 (Windows XP) version uses 32bit. I am wondering if there is a limitation with the driver forced HBAO+ for 64 bit games?

No, I don't think so considering some newer games that have official flags are DX11+x64

  12. Yeah, that makes sense, seems that none of the predefined DX11 HBAO+ flags work with Shadow Warrior DX11 (64 bit). I'll find the custom DX11 HBAO+ flag eventually.:arnie:

Sorry but based on the results, isn't even worth posting here, IIRC 0x00060000 worked, but with AO effect applied in wrong places and performance issues, depth buffer information seems very limited in bf4. Built-in HBAO is fast and acceptable. Haven't tested the new flag 0x00180000 yet since I've uninstalled the game. Can you check it for us? :)

Thanks a lot for sharing these!

I'm having some issues like bleeding and occasional flickering. Have you also experienced anything like that?

    Example for: 0x00160000

I sure wish Nvidia would throw us a bone and give us a way to fix that manually ourselves.

    Ugh so much potential!

"Tweaking Dogs" is a brand new videogame where you must solve the HBAO+ conspiracy.
    En--veloped with GameWorks.

Requirement: GeForce graphic card with a minimum of 2 GB of free time

Chivalry Medieval Warfare flags ("20" and "30") are showing a lot of flickering, but I'm not surprised with the results since all UE based games I've tested in the past had tons of flickering/angling issues too. I've tried to find another solution but without any success. Least issue flag is "30" since "20" bleeds through fog and water.
