The biggest thing with dx12 is fully allocated memory, for me anyhow.

btw AMD & NV will both support HDMI 2.0, DP1.2 to HDMI2.0 connectors will do the trick.
    Apparently should be out soon.

Should and will are two different things. As of now only Maxwell supports HDMI2.0 native. Nvidia guys tend to look at what is now and AMD guys tend to hope things will get better. Just look at the two sections as of now. All this to do about a pre-alpha benchmark for a game that won't be out till late 2016. Meanwhile my 670 and your 780 are playing games just fine.

Apparently "P2P was not enabled for Z170 platform" according to the change log for the latest driver.

That's the reason I chose a single GTX980TI to replace my dual R9 290s in CF in my 5960X rig instead of a Fury X. I moved the twin 290s into my 4790K rig as they still perform well and AMD is finally releasing CF profiles for the games I play. The GTX980TI has been performing well from the day I fired it up (and OC's like a beast).

I always Prefer Intel / Nvidia over AMD, simply because they have better hardware.

I never bought ATI / AMD graphics card. The only AMD processor I bought was FX-60 which was , 10 years ago ?!

The first Nvidia card that I bought was 7900 GTX. Nvidia cards that I have bought are 7900 GTX, 8800 GTX, GTX 480, GTX 590, GTX 780, and recently GTX 980 Ti. All were in SLI.

I also don't like bad things when they happen. The latest 900 series DX 12 issues is one of them. I know DX 12 is still in development. I know so far there's only one game. I know this game is still an alpha. I know the developer is AMD biased and will optimize the game to perform better on AMD cards. I also know when Nvidia asks them to disable certain features that there's something wrong. Could be hardware, could be drivers.

It is very strange that there's no official announcement from Nvidia regarding what actually the 900 series supports after what happened recently. VERY strange, make me be more certain that there's something seriously wrong going on with Nvidia right now.

Hi all, recently made the move after ten years and frustration at AMD's support for Crossfire to the green side!
Quick check, I have my 980Ti running stable at 110% power boost, stock volts at 1270MHz core, 1435MHz boost and the VRAM at 8GHz effective, 3DMark score is 16414.
Quite new to working with NVidia cards, everything here seem OK? Temps have never hit 55oC. Love this card!

Do you guys think that will be worth it to sell my sli of msi gtx 980 gaming for a single gtx 980 ti Msi Lightning?I can sell my sli setup and take the lightning gaining 50 eur. I will overclock it and use with a 1440p monitor (asus PB278QR). I know that i will lose some fps because the sli is more powerful in general but maybe it will be less noticeable, and i will have 6gb of vram and the benefits of single card (less heat, best optimization) ...Is it more futureproof? What do you think?

Funny i sent my card back cause my Gaming 6G hit about 92 °C and the support told me "no issues found, it's within thermal limits", but nevertheless like i said i got cash back and bought a MSI Lightning 980TI instead, could take a while to arrive but still, hope this card kicks ass

Try the witcher and 3 and a 120 or 144 monitor, then say bye bye to your 60c for 100%.

Then expect temps higher then 75c even with single gpu set-ups with that game or crysis 3 or metro.

1080p 60hz crisis3 core 1489 = 60c with tweaked fan profile 980ti at this resolution is having a nice easy time

fan profile 30% up to 30c than ramps to 80% at 80c and it is nice and quiet

I love that my CPU and GPU are around the same temp gaming I call that a balanced system

Fan speed profile is 75%, which is in-audible! I have the Zotac AMP Extreme Edition! Will post screens tonight to prove this! Bear in mind you have two cards in SLi. My cable management and Obsidian 750D make air flow within the case excellent!
Yes below 55oC on the Witcher 3 also!
