Sinds i own a samsungs SSD 850 EVO and 840 EVO i have every other day a delay of 5 min for programs to start after pc start and after windows loads. This only happens at the 1st start. When i start a program or game noting happens but the program will start after 5 min. Even if i shut down the pc, the pc shuts down after 5 min. The only program that works is the browser. Do more people have this??? I always thought it was the SSD but i also have problems with Nvidia GFE. GFE is messing with the internet connection and makes games crash and programms that use the internet slow down. Uninstalling GFE and everthing is back to normal BF4 doesnt crash anymore with "your connection to the server timed out" Now i think also that the 5 min start delay of programms commes from Nvidia geforce experience. Or does the 840 EVO still gives use problems? I will test this now and report back later. The Screenshots are fine. Only some Power Losses. This happens when you cut the power to the PC before it was properly shut down.
After a full week of testing i came with the following results. BF4 is crashing with "your connection to the server timed out" This problem is caused by nvidia geforce experience and Asus network icontrol. (conflict) The 5 min delay, i am still testing that. Report back later.
I was thinking that the 5 min delay also commes from Asus AI suite II. (conflict) I dont have AI suite installed and also samsung magician. because i was testing the BF4 crashes with a clean install win 10, i still have to install my software 1 by 1 and then test where the problem commes from. Tomorrow i will install magacian and will test it for some days to see if the 5 min delay is still there. Its a lot of work to test everything.
My experience with AI Suite is that its a POS. I just got done playing a few hours of BF4 and no issues. Uninstall AI Suite and see if that fixes it.
I just started up the pc, clicked on origin and it doesnt start. So the delay is still there waiting now for 8 min. Asus ai suite and magician are not installed. Now origin starts after 10 min. why??
Check your event log and see if there are any errors. Specifically, look at this. https://www.winhelp.us/troubleshoot-performance-in-windows-vista-and-7.html In Win8 after I installed my 980ti I had something similar. The system would just seem to freeze right after boot and I would get eventIDs 500 and 501 having to do with video memory. I panicked because I thought something was wrong with the 980ti but since moving to Win10 everything was fine.
This is the event log from the time i start my pc @ 19:18 http://i.imgur.com/At1a7vS.png I have this problem sinds i own a 840 evo. The 840 evo was my OS driver with win 8.1. Later i bought the 850 evo and it had the same problem in win 8.1 and now win 10. In the event log i also see this kernel power. http://i.imgur.com/0B7Yk9V.png The system is rebooted without first properly closed. This error may be caused by the system to stop responding or is jammed or because the power is down. I never do this i always turn the pc off in windows and then the pc shuts down. why do i get a kernel power when i always shut down the pc the normal way??? Is there a problem with my psu??? Its getting complexer by the minute. The times from the kernel power are form when i turn my pc ON. This makes no sence to me. At 23:05 i shut down my pc it didnt shut down and programs didnt start. So the delay is also there after a later time. So there is a problem with my pc. Edit: I think i found the problem. After i turned the pc out, but the pc stayed on (10 min delay) i unplugged my yarvik tab that is connected to my pc via usb cable. after i unplugged it the pc switched off. So the 10 min delay was caused by my yarvik tab connected to a usb3 port. Why it does that i dont know. wil test this better in the morning.
Nope, but I have heard that v4.4 will recognize Windows 10 as Windows 8.1 and allow you to use RAPID Mode, haven't tested it myself, but while reading through the changelogs I noticed that there was no mention of 850 EVO prior to v4.5.
