Yea that would make it easier :)

Just handy when helping people with driver problems to be able to link direct to the download

I'm running Windows 10 and have an NVIDIA GTX 770 2GB card and everything was working fine until a recent Windows 10 update messed everything up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the reinstallation failed. After running your tool it works just fine. Huge thanks. I think I'll throw a donation your way.

    Version 15.4.0.0 Released
    08/04/2015 Changelog:

-Added to the log a confirmation if the Services are removed or not.
-Extended Log will now automatically import the text from the normal log on form1, if the extended log is empty.
-Fixed bug making the Update label disappear when switching languages.
-Added an option to disable safe mode message box on startup.
-Added argument to disable safe mode message box: -nosafemode
-Log folder is created sooner to avoid potential issues and not logging things.
-Auto resize of the options form based on the right checkboxes
-Added NV Inspector to process kill list.

    Options form fixes:
-Added support for \n (newline) in language text files so the text should never be cut off by the form's size if it is properly used.
-Most languages that had issues have been updated to support newline already.
-Moved check boxes further apart so the newline would not overlap
    -Commit checkbox10.txt
-Options can now be converted to other Languages

    Translations update:
    -New language : Arabic (HasheM-HRW)
    -Korean (4Li)
    -Russian Danis Miryasov
    -Serbian (Cyrilic/Latin) CrazY_Milojko
    -French (Wagnard)
    -Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) (Credits : kongfl888)

    question for Wagnard

The Device installation setting DDU modify to stop Driver installs, I know it works in win7/8 there have been reports of that setting is now legacy and does nothing in win10, So question becomes does it actual work in win10? if so did MS re enabled that setting or are you just doing something similar to http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/windows-10-tweaks.214172/#post-3316914

I did Run DDU upon first entry into win 10 to manual install the drivers after word. But i do what was in the link cause people kept saying that setting does nothing in win10 and i didnt want to take the chance. doing so did throw out devicesetupmanager error in the eventviewer which i kinda just disabled the log lol

It doesn't prevent if you manually use windows update. It stop the driver search from windows update when the device get detected.(in the background)

    Hi Wagnard,

Sorry for disturbing you for a probably stupid question, but I've been struggling to use DDU to fix my NVIDIA installation..

Please could you take a look at this thread below and reply me whenever you have a chance.

Can't post link yet...please find the title "DDU Deleting Specific Driver Package Failed" in the forum.

    Much appreciated in advance!

Hi Wagnard, I just used your DDU software to reinstall my GPU driver. I'm encountering problem when i use my windows update to search for new updates.
    The error(s) found: Code 8024402F
I did a google search, realize that it is due to some third party program restricting my access.
Do you have any solution to it?

No idea... check if your time/date and timezone is correctly set. THis can cause this error.

Hi, thanks for your fast reply. Saw somewhere on the internet, not sure where. Some claim that the code error can be solve by just waiting 24 hours.
    No worries, thanks anyways.
Will update you if it works.

Hey guys, I was responsible this time around for the roaming config file, and I'd really love it if you guys could try it out, so we can figure out if it's entirely working or not. There shouldn't be any permission issues, and should work fine on any OS.

    Thanks.

There is some difference, at least in the case of Windows XP. On my system, I'm unable to install a new version of driver over the old version, and it also fails if I boot into safe mode, use DDU, then reboot (back into normal mode) and try to install, but if I restore the Windows XP partition back to before I ever installed an Nvidia driver (I switched from an AMD video card to a 780 Ti about a month ago), I am able to install 353.62, 355.60, or 355.82. So there's something that DDU is not removing.

DDU wont fix broken permissions. It probably work when you resrtore because it fix the problem you had.

I dont test a lot on winxp so it is possible I mau have missed something, but usually from what you describe, its smell like something else.

what is the error code if you manually tru to update via device manager?
