Can someone post ISO links so I can do a fresh install on my PC's? I'm not doing upgrades, I'd rather do fresh installs.

Avoided all this by using gpedit to disable the upgrade to a new version of windows through windows update

So hold on, in the retail version you can or can't disable auto updates?

Ok I checked that folder and it was empty, so I did a WU and two quick updates loaded. Now the folder is 13.5GB.
It is already 7.30am here in Thailand do I run setup or will Windows initiate the install with a update later.

Why can't they just make it an option in the Updates window? Would be nicer than having to go through group policy settings and finding it.

So... anyone else here who works in IT preparing for a rough week of work since Win 10 will undoubtedly cause chaos?

Opt out of the upgrade would have been the choice.

    Wait wait wait////

Windows 10 Update is automatic and there is no option to set manual?

I always use "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" in Vista>7>8

Is this not possible in Windows 10?

I'm still waiting for Windows 10 to start downloading -__-

    It's now 1:54PM on the 29th

In Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise/Education you have more control over how updates are delivered. You can configure these settings in Group Policy.

Strange... yet clever.. this way the average person will always get updates when they are published.

I have the downloaded 6gb stuff in the directory mentioned in OP. So if i understood correctly, we must not restart our PC in order to finish the installation?
