Hitman Closed Alpha Build Is A CPU Hog

Most likely designed with the consoles in mind, so not surprised along with the fact that like AC unity (and most open world games) it'll be all those damn ai walking about.

I hope they change their minds on this episodic model. I cant even begin to imagine why they thought it'd be a great idea at all. I mean, of all the games to go episodic. Maybe there was a reason Valve gave up on the ep model with HL.

 

....its ok ,we buy 1000 $ gpu and we get 35-40 fps .What else game producers....game industry its really going down with all this un-optimized games ;console ports and so called demanding games.Titan x 35-40 fps;lets get serious ;no more preorders ;just wait and see reviews.:bang:

We know, but HH didnt post it in the news thread just to close it as if theres nothing to talk about.

The games visuals dont look all that great and taking that into account (along with being alpha) its a worry that a titanx can only pull 35-45fps @ 1080p.

At the end of the day though, if those who participated in the alpha dont provide feedback and others who didnt participate, dont voice their concerns, then whats the point in an alpha?

Haha i know, but its the same with Steam and its ''Early Access''. Since that came into life i stopped touching any thing ''alpha'' :infinity:.

Yeah i dont like the game visuals either. Same with W3, crappy graphics and a resource hog. and why isnt Hitman a DX12 title?

But its a great way to test a new game on ''ordinary'' gamer rigs. Hoping they provide feedback ofcourse. Many dont..

 

Why, it looks like splinter cell conviction. Sure its alpha, but thats all there is currently to comment on.

Yes, I've never seen so many humans modelled like this.

The exterior of the building and fountain in particular were also very impressive.

Well, they DID say they were going back to their roots.

Remembering the original buggy, unoptimized mess Hitman games, they are doing it right.

 

Guess if it was optimized and everything worked it wouldn't be called an alpha version then.

 

I wish they would bring back the demo try before you buy..

As for Alpha they put the game out to test therefore they assumed it was in a user ready state this is when gamers should voice there opinions
otherwise developers assume all is well otherwise in Beta it will be the same and when released they wonder what the fuss is all about.

They should get Guru3d/other PC forums to issue Alpha keys to gamers if they want real game tests and not just kids playing.(not me I die to quick)

It's alpha. Lot of work remaining.
Just don't dip it to **** like Absolution.

 

It is closed alpha, I think it is about collecting feedback for game mechanics and way story is directed to.

 

Resolution on this build seems to not affect too much the framerate, no matter if i play on 1080, 1440 or 1600p i still get the same framerate with my settings

 

yeah how dare they release a preview of a game not scheduled to be released for another 6 months that doesn't perform well. shame on them
