Matches my idle 800mhz cpu speeds :D lol
mate have you found out any more information, ;) anything else to test ? try ?

could be great to have memory voltage control , as now the only thing that makes my cpu slighty go up in temps is memory speeds when changing from 100-1600 lol

if not there must be a setting in the bios that gives the memory its steps to jump up to in 2d mode.

cause it jumps from 80mhz to 1600 without any gaps inbetween lol

I even hex edited pwm fan max to 100% but nothing changed... fan speed is still too low :(

Just wondering as not flashed my card to 390x rom are people getting fans off at low usage like MSI / Sapphire product page highlight.
    OMG! :eek2:

    :eek2: x2 ...

Question , does anyone know where the display instructions are in the bios
for what output goes to what for instance.

if we can figure that out it would mean i could possibly get R390x bios`s to work on R295x2`s :D lol

cause my card uses 4x mini dp ports and 1 dual link port.
but ref 390s use different outputs as standard.

if we could swap the display information around remove and inject R9295x2 display info into R390x bios i think it would work, :D though that would be called a Frankin build hahaha

Anyone has an idea how to create a custom fan curve for my custom cooler?

Fan curves are not in my wheel house, so i cant help out with that as my card i have does not have a fan attached to it and no way to modify and test bios`s as i don't have anything to test compare with..

guys, gpu-z power consumption != real world power consumption

    example:
    vddc @ 1.031v
    gpuz vddc power:~15w
    measured total system power:~40w

    vddc @ 0.850v
    gpuz vddc power:~5.9w
    measured total system power:~35.5w

its not but there is still some decrease :) (and lower temperature which is nice bonus)

Of course it isn't, system power consumption are not card power consumption. Software voltage reading isn't 100% accurate either but it serve the purpose of setting roughly how much power we save, also it's meant to reduce temperature as well.

    OneB1t already told this :eyes:

hehe ;) like the guys have said above, there are lots of factors
total system power consumption is not reading card power output

so all that GPUZ shows is card power consumption, now system consumption is all to together different.

well... after downvolting gpu-z shows ~-10w while in reality it's more like ~-4w

Yes, that's what I tried, manually hex editing the BIOS, but no success.

I just hope, you guys figure out, how to create a custum fan control, so I could finally dump SpeedFan. :)

it works i have also custom curve :) (gelid icy vision v2 + pwm converter)

you need to fix checksum after editing by hand

I thought HawaiiBiosReader will fix the checksum anyway?

First I edited the BIOS by hand for custom fan control, then I took that BIOS and used HawaiiBiosReader to edit clocks and power limit.

you have advanced fan control enabled :) thats the problem set it to 0 and it will work
