The red circled values are the only ones, you should change.

    @ Plug2k:
Had to raise the voltage a little to get 50 mV more after drop.
1250 mV gives me 1164 mV under load (GPU-Z render test), before it was 1109 mV.

    I am happy! :)

Question, can i use difference voltage for the memory? I noticed all BIOS i've downloaded had the same Memory and Core voltage.

Also, why i can't install 15.7 driver when using 390/390x BIOS? No problem with 15.200.40.

    Dont run that render test
it will always show you a 30-50mv drop comparied to running a full demanding game or benchmark like firestrike.

That bios is different some how its not compatible with Hawaii Editor.
and i wouldn't use it to alter that bios as the placement of clocks is wrong also, no telling what's wrong, compatibility needs added you can tell right away when you load it up.

I don't think you can name them, the way you are asking.

I don't think you can also name them DPM 0 as 2d and DPM 7 as 3d.

The DPM states are more like loading of GPU.

Even though we have 8 DPM states in GPU Freq Table (HawaiiReader) I have noticed there must be more which we have no access to why I say this is I've seen GPU freq in MSI AB at other speeds.

Also read page 6 paragraph 2 of this 2012 Powertune Whitepaper.

Now getting back to UVD Table, have you noticed it has no clocks associated with it?

In VCE & UVD we only have a value 0 then 0 to 6.

I don't think we can apply a separate clock GPU / RAM to VCE & UVD and a voltage.

Perhaps these tables are for compatibility with an app that reads values from bios, don't know.

Perhaps they have function which we don't know, at present we know only that tests ends up using clocks from GPU / RAM Freq. table.

Also when I lowered RAM up top left of powerplay and RAM freq DPM states 0 to 2 it still uses highest freq even though GPU freq low in MSI AB graphs for low load, only at idle or light desktop use it goes to 150MHz.

Perhaps the driver / powertune force higher speed as things it monitors tells it you can use that:-

    i) to maximise performance (ie not limit app from RAM speed/bandwidth)

ii) have budget in TDP / TDC / Temps to use

Again don't know , can only make an educated guess.

    Will do cheers! :) .

I just did it for comparison. I also compared voltages with OCCT and War Thunder.

My R9 290 is cooled by an Alpenföhn Peter 2 with two 140 mm Phanteks PH-F140, so temperatures are fine.

    HOLY HELL BATMAN....

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Broken 2d idle clock........

how does 150/150 sound for super dupe low desktop temps.

There is one way to get around it, to figure out more voltages and tables that dont get used by the bios but by the software is to rip out the drivers powertable....

im sure i read somewhere that its possible to get the powertable from drivers cause people can set clocks based on modified driver power tables.

    let me look into it.

Dont want to risk uploading them all, + there are loads of different configurations.
i dont mind giving single people them to test but i modify my own bios based on custom water cooling.
and i dont think it would be advisable to give to people that have air cooling or aio cooling.

    ;) ;) ;)

well i have found one thing out thats for sure, the limit for 2D is 810mv
anything under 800 results in 1019 locked voltage. :)

and i have tried loads of different combinations.....

only the slave bios accepts lower than 800mv and thats probably cause the display ports on my card run of the master ;)

I have a custom EKWB FCB, no need to worry about the temps :D

Well guys, thats me finished with 2D idle clocks. and voltages.
as you can see i have gotten idle clocks browsing desktop ect @100 core 135 memory.

outstanding , just look at those watts and amps, its like ultra power saving mode without standby lol

    i mean serious 0.8w / 1.4a power,

think of it this way, in power, *simplify 60w light bulb lol
how much power does a laptop use when on 2d desktop i would be interested to know that one lol

I just saved a custom fan profile with HawaiiFanMod to a stock BIOS.

Now I want to edit clocks and power limit, do I need to use the Patch tool before or will HawaiiBiosReader fix the BIOS anyway?

what patch tool? no need for anything other than biosreader (it fix checksum by itself :))

Hawaii Editor, does CRC fix on saving.

HD7xxx Series UEFI Patch Tool BETA

    Nice that it's not needed.

    Next problem:
I just tested the BIOS with the custom fan control and I dont get the intended fan speed. I guess it has something to do with PWM fan max, which is at 40% and not changable with the fan edit tool.

Ok its getting weird now lol

    80mhz core 80mhz memory
    ----------------------------------

been testing as far down as 50 = display flicking between black screen and normal screen i wouldnt recommend going any lower than 80.
