Huge sales event starting July 15th. http://crackberry.com/amazons-20th-anniversary-sale-will-feature-more-deals-black-friday
Yay! More chance to buy stuff I don't necessarily need, but wait, I could use a new router.... [edit] But I'm confused now: does everybody get the flash offers, and prime members additional discounts / offers, or do you have to be a prime member to even have access to any of the flash sales and offers, because it's called 'prime day'?
Prime only? Bummer. Amazon is awesome (and still cheaper) despite the international shipping surcharge.
With the amount of stuff I buy, the 2 Day free shipping has saved me 10x the cost of Prime in the first half of this year alone.
Yep, We've had Prime for 3-4 years now and the shipping alone pays for itself, plus I make good use of their video/tv streaming aspect as well.
I use amazon 2 - 3 times a year max now, they lost their edge on prices years ago for the most part. Only thing they still have is decent CS, but that still doesn't win me unless it's a tiny price difference. Next day shipping is nice, but I buy so much from China now that takes 3-4 weeks, normal 3-5 day shipping from any company seems fast enough. Also, screw paying loads of money to access some savings...
I love Amazon Prime can't imagine using the site without it unlike Newegg with their new Premier service. Prime Instant Streaming is nice as they often have stuff not available to Netflix due to licensing costs. Plus, they typically will start streaming new seasons of shows weeks, months, or even years before Nexflix even bothers to add them to their streaming service. At the same time you also have the option to buy seasons and watch as new episodes air. Much cheaper cost than paying for a TV subscription and HD service.
The whole thing was a bit meh. Yeah there were some decent % discounts, but the only thing on sale I wanted to buy was going to cost be more than the item cost in shipping (Qi Wireless Charger for $7.96 & $9 shipping)
I have not got myself the free month prime offer, and to be honest, I did not want to buy anything on sale yesterday. I haven't got the feeling I missed much...
