Think I'm going to go with 2 780ti classifieds. I think them being a 2 slot cooler should be OK on this motherboard.
Have you considered the EVGA Hybrid 980Ti's if you're worried about the temps? They seem to be great cards, but housing two AIO coolers won't be pretty.
Hah a just messing with ya man, my MSI 980ti should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday, ahh a night of benchmarking, sweet
Well 1443MHz seems to be my limit on the stock voltage, only hitting 96% TDP during a run of Heaven 4.0 so there's some headroom there at least
That's about my limit even raising the voltage. At about 96% the card throttles the voltage back and thus throttles the clock back. +40mv seems to be my sweet spot for max clock/stability. If I raise the voltage any higher it just throttles the clock.
I'll answer you when i find my Corsair PSU Molex cable to connect the AIO. 3 days i've installed this sweet baby and can't use it cause of missing cable. Will tell you in 2 days if you don't have yours yet x)

Show me real proof then else it never happent. the gigabyte is still higher clocked and runs cooler, and is faster from what i can tell, so my point is made i gues.
There isn't any Benchmarks for the Classified 980Ti as it isn't out yet. Except it isn't... EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+ Base clock 1190 MHz Memory clock 1753 MHz Boost Clock: 1291 MHz GIGABYTE GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming Base clock 1190 MHz Memory clock 1753 MHz Boost Clock: 1291 MHz Source: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b3324/evga-gtx-980-ti-classified-acx-2-0.html If anything it will be at least on par with the Gigabyte G1 card.
Then its all about preferences i think, unless u want more heat ofcourse go for eVGA, but i still think the gigabyte is faster a bit. But the eVGA is not bad, but its just not my main choice because of that. And the inno3d x3 beats them all, but if u go for sli like i do, u need a duelslot card like gigabyte or any other brand, the inno3d x3 is the best aftermarket gtx 980 ti, but the thing is so dam fat, it takes up 3 slots thats just nuts. Specially if u have a soundcard like me installed in the motherbord, i need space to breath for that, then its a disaster if u sli them with the X3.
