You can, and every number of fps, if you edit the accompanying config file. You have to convert the wanted fps value to binary though.

I prefer nvidia inspecter. In BF4 (ingame limitor) and GTA5 (RTSS) both will cause weird behavior and stutter. In both ganes inspecter works smoother.
An additional note about BF4, ingame limiter also seems to lower performance too. I get lower stable fps when I limit fps using gametime.maxvariablefps command.

I have really good experiences with RTSS, like most people here. Before, I used RadeonPro (when I had an AMD GPU). That was awesome as well, but it doesn't work too well with Nvidia GPU's.

I sometimes use D3Doverrider (force triple buffering), together with RTSS. For example with Witcher 2 and Lego Batman 2 I get smoothest framerates that way.

I've been using RTSS to cap my FPS in all games globally with no issues for a while now.

The recording feature isn't too intensive if you offload it to the dGPU/iGPU.

Yes, I use intel quicksync its much better by fullframe benchmark; quicksync 165fps vs nvidia GK110 nvenc 68fps

Vsync + RTSS at 58FPS. Btw RTSS works on Gsync monitor? Lets say i buy 144Hz one, can i limit FPS to 90-100?

I made my own 99fps cap on nvidia inspector by adding a hex code and another at 119fps. I also use rtss for other features so I use both.

The Nvidia driver limiter gives totally crappy frametimes on some BF4 MP maps.

    No, not recording feature.
If you have a dual core cpu you'll have 50% load, Quad 25%, Six core 12.5% - per thread.

with Inspector if i cap my fps at 59 it jumps up and down in 61-63 range but with RTSS its perfect in all games steady 59 fps so i'm sticking with RTSS cause Inspector limiter is broken

RTSS uses 50% load with just readouts on a dual-core CPU?

Of course, CPU just waits in loops and it will be reflected in CPU usage, but like i said before it's not a flaw.

I fired up process explorer, and the performance graph for RTSS stays empty, with just a one tiny spike to 4.95%. So dunno from where you get such ridiculous numbers.

If you have Micro Stuttering, disable HyperThreading. Works wonders in many Games.
