If I'm lucky I'll get 300€ a piece and the MSI 980Ti costs 810€ so the difference is not that big.

Awesome review Hilbert as always , lots of great info. The card looks great and performance is amazing , i will wait for the MSI Lightning 980Ti as i think that will be my future video card for the next couple of years to come:)

I have a question regarding your overclocking page. It shows the powerlimit to 120, how?
    Mine is limited to 109.

I have the latest version of AB. Thank you for any answers.

I get 23.5k gpu score so its not far behind, games 980ti will likely be faster in general

    OC heaven

WoW. 30% above a reference 980ti when overclocked and still pretty cool and quiet. That is impressive.

Even if Pascal is released Q2 2016, that is only about a year out or less.. I think my 780ti SLi setup can hold off one more year..

I could do the same but I am building a new rig with some new parts and some old for my kid with 780ti sli as the centerpiece. Getting 2 980ti sli.

What's up bro? Thought you were set on the fury x? Was it the Maxwells huge oc potential that steered you to the 980ti?

Tommy my good old NJ friend , hi bro. i'm doing great amigo :). Yes definitely i was into the Fury X with all the hype about HBM and rumors of great oc potential , but , but , but ... after the reviews :bawl: it was the final nail on the coffin , i was very disappointed in the overall performance and overclockability , what a let down , you know me very well bro , for me is like this: no OC = no BUY :giggle2:. One 980Ti under H2O maxed out OC and i will be a very happy gamer for a long time !

    same problem for me :
tdp max under MSI AB is only 109% for the MSI Gaming 6G.

Strange cos , other 980 Ti ref is 107%

    we should have more !
how guru3d can have 120% tdp max in MSI AB ?

Nice score but you say 23.5k GPU score when it says 21k? What am I missing here?

Wow, that's a ridiculus OC but on the other hand, you're on H2O :D

Sure, that's correct but it's always fun to buy stuff :) Ill try and see what I can get for them. If too little, then I'll just wait until next year. I really should upgrade to Skylake instead (depending on how good it is). CPU, mobo, PSU and mem, that's the oldest stuff in my rig atm.

    Hilbert,

I am still wondering how your card has a power limit of 120% and all retail cards have a power limit of 109%.

Is MSI sending special cards to reviewers? It seems very fishy to me.

    Thank you for any answer.
