enjoy I looked at evga but something about the 980Ti GAMING 6G Twin Frozr said buy me oh I remember in stock
Enjoy yours too mate, It was the £539 price tag that made my decision for me. Stock levels are starting to come up a bit now. That 6G looks nice. I'm hoping to get a good clocker in the 1300-1400 range
I caved in today and ended up getting the EVGA SC 2.0 card. for 75 pound cheaper. Impulse purchase, but luckily my friend has just offered me 350 for my 780Ti's. So I am a happy chappy Herb
I am keeping my GTX 970 SCC going in office pc hope its good at 1280x1024 will do some testing with my 750ti FTW to use as PhysX card

New member of the club here. My 980 TI Gaming should be arriving tomorrow. Should I stick with WHQL? I haven't had an Nvidia card in years. Any tips on OC and Inspector (I believe that s the Radeonpro of NV) would be greatly appreciated.
IIRC 980Ti isn't even supported by WHQL. In any case beta generally has improvements that WHQL won't have, especially for the newest games. (Except Batman, lol.) Edit: I guess there is WHQL for it. I'd stick with beta though unless there's huge problems with it.
Oh god the AGONY. So I can't get anything else other than the DVI port to work with my 1440p ASUS. I tried them on my old 1080p ASUS and they all worked fine. I formatted Windows for this and I installed all the motherboard drivers and then the Nvidia drivers. I started going through the many Windows updates after. While installing the big update after the SP1 update my screen goes black and I have to restart the computer. Then I have to system restore. I'm now on the process of reformatting Windows AGAIN and I'm going to do all the system updates before installing the Nvidia drivers. What the Hell is going on here? I did play some of the Witcher 3 on my 1440p and it was life changing. I did not know a game could be that smooth. But come on man... I'm losing my mind over here. Any ideas what's going on?
Looks like they didn't improve the frame times on the Fury X much. Very glad I went with the 980 Ti. http://techreport.com/review/28513/amd-radeon-r9-fury-x-graphics-card-reviewed/6
You're installing Windows 7 with a non SP1 disc? If you have a legitimate Windows 7 Key, just get a disc (or ISO) of the same version that you already have. So if you have an original non-SP1 Home Premium copy, just find an SP1 Home Premium ISO or borrow a disc from a friend. Your non SP1 key will work with an SP1 disc. No need to go through the trouble of installing an old version and doing that many updates. I usually just go online and find a stock Win7 ISO that has the latest updates streamlined into the install and matches my legit version. Saves a boat load of time when it comes to updates.
Yup, me too. Got impatient and just ordered my ti's without waiting. Looks like I made the right decision switching from AMD this round!
my MSI 980ti gaming twin frozr is being delivered to a local store as I am working I have a plan to finish work early I will get a text when it gets there. the wait is almost as bad as deciding which one to get.............
Today has had some good news, and I also see that switching from AMD to Nvidia has proved well worth it. Part of me is super disappointed that the Fury X didn't kick ass even though I purchased my Ti a week or two ago. Also the frametime stuff, seriously. Thought AMD switched to H/W for that.. Sad to see it's still a software fix.
Getting jealous. The morons at Royal mail have had 7 days so far to deliver my 980 to eVGA so I can get my 980ti as a stepup. Its finally made it to Germany today. I probably could have Cycled and got it there quicker. Got my backplate and Accelero Xtreme iv ready and waiting here, now I just need a gfx card.....
