Honestly I find it amusing that people would assume otherwise. It has ~37% more shaders. Just find a 290x benchmark and increase the performance by ~37%. That's generally where a Fury X is going to land. Back when the Titan X stuff started leaking, I predicted it would end up slightly under it but probably beat it in some 4K stuff.

Nvidia needs reference WC stuff going forward I guess.

So pretty similar to a 980ti at 4k according to that review, only a few fps here and there.

Unless HH has different results it look's like price might be the deciding factor.
I do like those temps though.

Temperature is just an arbitrary number when it comes to GPU's and does not tell you much about how much heat is actually dissipated. People tend to care way to much about it. People use temps to compare one chip to another which is completely absurd.

    Thanks Hilbert.

The Ti still beats it pretty much across the board (albeit not by much in most cases).

OC potential is probably going to be good given the AIO cooler.

I do like the cooling, tight :)

The price is what lets it down imho because you can pick up a 980 TI for $649.00.

Not an option for me as I don't like Crossfire but a competent entry :)

Ookay... So custom GTX 980 Ti is better card basically. Now I know why they were hiding the performance.

Explains why AMD's internal benchmarks was with 0xAF..

980ti is faster. See the review.

Reviews are all over the place, quite a few have it on par with the Ti, beating it.
