wow.. 95 c!? so I shouldn't be concerned when mine hits 70C full load when playing Witcher 3!? sweeeeeeeeeeeet!
How is your 980Ti treating you and the blocks? I'm getting more impatient as the days go by. I have a serious itch that needs some scratching.
Hey guys is this a reference pcb? I need something I can put a titan waterblock on in a couple weeks. There are two different EVGA 980 Ti's on newegg, but this one is $30 cheaper and has more reviews. The other one has no reviews. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487142&cm_re=980_ti-_-14-487-142-_-Product
So that would be this, correct? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487141&cm_re=980_ti-_-14-487-141-_-Product I appreciate your quick response.
Bah, stability isn't great after a while hehe I haven't touched voltage controls, worth trying adding some mV? (Notice hilberts reviews overclocking usually adds +50) How safe is it? / worth trying?
Hey what program do you guys use to OC? I used MSI AB for my 7950's do you Nvidia folk use the same program?
Been running great, everything is buttery smooth and the temps are great. Typical temps are about 29-30c idle (desktop etc) with games putting it around 38-40'c based on load. Managed to get firestrike passed at over 1500 boost and 4000mhz mem with +60mv although I'm still not 100% of it's longterm stability.
This wait is absolutely killing me and I just ordered today. Luckily I ordered with 2 day shipping. Just watching YouTube video's of The Witcher 3 with everything maxed out on 1440p make me smile. My W3 experience with these 7950's have been nightmare-worthy. Can't wait to put her under water and see what I can squeeze out....wow that actually sounded creepy!
I found that the memory was really sensitive to overclock in mine. I'd make sure the core is rock solid then slowly bring the memory up.
I never once had a problem with fire strike on clocks that had problems in heaven, furmark or games. Fire strike is crap for checking stability.
Windows 10 drivers are out. http://www.winbeta.org/news/nvidia-...eforce-drivers-just-time-batman-arkham-knight
Aye I'm with you on that and today I did some loop testing with Heaven for about 40mins (went had breakfast and got washed etc.) at the following settings +300mhz Core / +500mhz Memory core voltage +65mv. Seemed to run perfectly fine with temps hitting 40'c and a boost speed of about 1530mhz. I also ran Monster Hunter Online benchmark for a bit with no issues and that now leaves me with some serious FFXIV sessions to see if it holds :nerd:. I really do love this card it rocks
Me I don't regret it. Sold the 980's to offset the cost. (my usual strategy!) I just need to upgrade my screen(s) for a higher resolution to make use of them. I need to find a stable overclock @ Megabiv, use those settings just for benching or general gameplay too? trying to decide whether to leave mine OC'd or not
I did and I can honestly say I was a bit underwhelmed at the increase. Although, I will say the 2 games I was playing at the time seem to benefit the least from the swap and that's Witcher 3 and GTA 5. Other games, according to some website's benchmarks, see a much larger increase between SLI 980 and SLI 980ti's. My synthetic scores went way up though and I feel much better about the future having 6GB vram instead of 4GB.
Thanks, my thoughts are selling my three 980's and going with two Ti's mainly for the extra memory. Not sure what I can get out of used EVGA sc reference 980's these days.
