Looks like you may be right.

Yesterday after installing the Windows 7/8 driver version on my Windows 8.1 installation, I was able to get some nice crashes and corruption at low loads. Then I did install the Windows 10 driver on the latest Insider Preview and I have yet to encounter a single issue after hours of web browing and gaming with the exact same settings.

Could be a bit too early to tell, but it seems the Windows 10 driver variant is much stabler than the Windows 7/8 one.

Yea, from the looks of it they are not bothering fixing anything and are just waiting for the Windows 10 release. Since Windows 7/8 will get a free upgrade to 10 anyway they are hoping that everyone will just jump ship.

Sure Windows 10 will be great with DirectX 12 & WDDM 2.0 but until final release we have to deal with all this mess.

Well, you are not go get all the DirectX 12 & WDDM 2.0 goodies if you stay with Win 7/8.

Anyway, I hear only good stuff about Win 10. Specially in the GPU area.

I am having significant drops in frame rate in progect CARS, where once worked smooth as silk now the frame rate falls on the floor, there remains the problem with Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty when SLI is enabled I get flickering in the graphics when two or three drivers behind, luxury worked sli, I think this time Nvidia has broken more things that fixes lately.

that also means that at the end of next month when win 10 comes out we al have a good driver again.

So in about 4 weeks all our problems are solved. thats not bad from nvidia.

An update to the Batman: Arkham Knight SLI profile was deployed
via GeForce Experience before the game's launch. To acquire the update,
open GeForce Experience, navigate to the Preferences tab, click
"General" on the left nav, and click "Check for updates". The updated
profile will automatically be downloaded and installed, ready for use
    in-game."

Well this is one way to force GeForce Experience on everyone. Game ready driver isn't really a game ready but with GFE it is. Enjoy!

The same can be done with nvidia inspector, without that blotware of GFE

I understand that, the problem is not many people know how to do it so more and more resources are spent on GFE aka PC gaming for dummies, instead of fixing bugs and testing drivers. I'm not saying I know better than nvidia what their staff should prioritize, it just feels like we all be forced to use it sooner or later.

You do need to know what numbers to punch in though.
There really should be some kind of online database for the inspector. (Online Update). Preferably maintained by the users themselves.

You can install NVIDIA Update just by editing a file. They should let you install it automaticly if you don't install GFE though.

Scary thread. When will nVidia stop fooling around and get back on track?
Not tried either Batman or playing any games yesterday, just installed the driver.

Launch GeForce experience as it notified me of new drivers and get "Geforce encountered an error and must close." :bang:

It sure is. Crazy to think some people think it means something and don't try beta drivers!

All drivers are beta. This is nothing new, especially if you've ever owned an AMD card.
