390x bios leaked

I use this command to flash: atiflash -f -p 0 yourbios.rom
Make sure you use atiflash 4.17 as that is the only one that works with the r9 series.
Is that the version you use?

FIRE STRIKE EXTREME
R9 290 flashed to PCS+ 290x(1050/1350) = 4701
R9 290 flashed to netkas's 390x(1050/1250) = 4828
And yeah, that 390x bios has like +50mV compared to 290x.

 

Whats the point in changing the bios? I can see people get a bit higher scores in benchmarks, but how about in games?

 

if u combine 390X bios with 15.15 driver on 290X you get nearly exact same performance as with new 390X (where its not limited by 4GB memory)so you can see on internet how that goes

 

My 290 Tri-X OC is 1.217 and my Reference Sapphire 290 is 1.229V volts under load, both on the 290 Tri-X OC bios.
With the 390x 4gb bios i have 1.227 and 2.239 volts so the jump is not that big for me.
I did edit the memory clock from 1250 to 1350 stock on the 390x 4gb bios.

Edit:The 390x bios is 4 almost 5 degrees cooler under load then the bios i used before.

I have a question.
For you to get 1500Mhz on the Vram, did you crank up the "Power Limit Settings" or leave it as default?

Soo you are saying that after flashing the bios BF4 runs 60-70fps, and reversing the bios back to original didn't return you the 90-100fps?
Just want to take precaution before flashing as my brother usually plays BF games.

 

He is talking about a modded driver that gave him great scores in 3dmark but not in bf4.
But the 15.5 or any newer modded driver like the 1040 give him normal fps on bf4 but didn't do as good in 3dmark.
These cards have a dual bios switch so you can always revert back.

I would love the msi one as it is higher clocked.
So it has higher stock voltages i would guess.
Would be great if i could have stock clocks of 1100/1450 stable.
But i can only test that if there is a 4gb version.
Or if netkas could explain which values we need to change.
And bios modding for the r9 series is new so we got to make use of it while we still can.:banana:

oh well apparently i was indeed using the correct ver.
Does not work with 8gb and 4gb version guess will have to wait for tri-x ver and try again.

 

The Reason why you cant find one is because there is not one, i added the uefo module to my cards bios`s.....
only place you will fine UEFI is 390x bios`s or later version 290x`s....

though UEFI works fine with R9295X2 now

Strange that it won't work on your card as it is reference so it should work.
We have the exact same card except maybe the asics.
I'm sorry for asking but are you sure you have the Tri-X and not the Vapor-X?
