I'm interested in how the hybrids will perform as mine under a custom loop is very cool indeed but how it would benefit from the extra fans with the increase in noise (albeit not much noise). I've always had a "warm" room to say the least so for me air cooling is now out the question as my GTX570 would frequently run at 90'c (had an MSI card with the ****ty GTX480 ref blower on it :bang:) with all that heat being blown around in summer was unbearable let alone a bit of a concern for my PC. Once you got water you won't go back...unless you have a really bad leak :p

    I honestly daren't go full H20, last time...well...

R.I.P. 6990, you ran so hot, then you cried :(

but I'll happily try a NXT / Corsair adapter and a closed pre-made loop.

It'll take it up *alot* of space in SLi though :p

Anybody else seeing graphical corruption In Chrome at stock or is it just me?

Yes I'm quite aware of the tdrs but haven't seen anybody mention what I have seen.

To test, ensure you don't have maximum performance turned on for chrome (global or chrome), reboot pc open chrome up, scroll up and down guru3d forums, can you see any checkerboard or faint blurry line horizontal artifacts?

Monitor your vddc with gpu-z, it should read 0.8ish volts.

If you don't see any artifacts, flip the hardware acceleration switch in chrome to the other option, reboot, retest.

Another test : open up Ati tool, scan for artifacts, do you see yellow artifacts all over the image? If you do, stop the test, start it again, have the artifacts disappeared?

If any of you test this for me, thanks in advance.

I've ran DDU that many times I've lost count.

Need to conclude if this card needs rma'ing.

Considering people are hitting TDP on air I doubt there's much point. Unless you're modifying the BIOS.

    Hi guys

I've msi reference card not overclocked

trying to figure out why my 3dmark score is so low
    score-11721
    graphics score-15965
    physics-6784
    Combined Score-6164

is it because my cpu bottleneck?
but if that's the case then why my graphics score is low,is my cpu affecting that too?

fps in games seems ok,gta5 on max settings runs 40-50 fps
i even had to make a video of that because somebody didn't belive me i can get a decent fps with max settings

You able to provide any more details such as model of i5 or mobo chipset etc? Also have you got a link to your firestrike result we could take a look at?

I like the reference cooler and blows out the hot air from my case. Maybe later in the year get water cooling on it.

PS. Only game I cannot sustain that overclock long is The Witcher 3 :/
GTA V, Far Cry 4, Mordor, BF4, Metro LL Redux all fine. Fan profile is at 70% though but I use headphones so no biggy

Are you monitoring your clocks and temps? Is it throttling? I noticed (at least in SLI) that, on occasion, the first time I would run something, my clocks would be stuck at 525 even though I was nowhere near the temp limits. Restarting the application would fix it. Don't know what caused it, but it hasn't done it in a while either.

Yep this CPU's still got some life left in it, hard to believe I've had it 5 years now!

You should have done it m8 - would have provided better overclockability with the lower temps, longer Card life most likely, and less noise when gaming + less heat dumped inside the case :)

I really should of, but I'm impatient and the ETA on the ACX was sooner :)

Plus I was a bit worried about how long the tubing was on the AIO coolers.

Only pushed the cards up a notch to 1329Mhz on the core so far and it's staying below 80c, these new ACX coolers really are quiet compared to the ones on my old 780Tis, plus they sit at zero RPM below 60c which is nice.

What exactly is the point of going liquid with these though? Would you modify the bios? People are hitting TDP without reaching unreasonable temps on ACX and G1.

Voltage OC, h20 always allows a better OC, depends on the chip though

Can't decide between the Gigabyte Windforce or the Evga ACX 2.0+ both are the same price, the Evga Hybrid model is available but its $200 more here...

I haven't seen any comparisons but if you're overclocking there's probably little difference. They both seem to keep pretty cool.

Under water mine doesn't go above 40'c which is great for the card an myself as I dont have to game in shorts :p. Plus not all rooms, cards and cases are equal so having the extra head room is a plus when heat is concerned.

Noise. I've heard the G1 is almost silent, but I know that even the ACX under higher fan speeds is still loud. And of course there is the standard blower fan that's incredibly loud too. Liquid cooling helps immensely with that, running almost silently.
